Abstract: A method and system of message exchange for controlling flow associated with multimedia streaming services from a server to a client using DASH are disclosed. In one method, one or more Push Directives are sent from a client to a server to indicate information related to media data requested. At least one selected Push Directive uses one URLTemplate that comprises a list of media parameter values, and where each media parameter value corresponds to one media parameter associated with one media segment requested. The server then pushes one or more groups of data for the media data requested to the client according to the list of media parameter values. In another method, at least one selected Push Directive uses one URLTemplate that includes a first number to represent a number of repeating difference of media parameter values associated with requested media segments.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method of video coding includes receiving input data associated with a first block and a second block of an image frame. The method further includes identifying a reference size and performing a deblocking process if it is determined that the deblocking process is to be performed. The preforming the deblocking process may include processing pixels adjacent to the block boundary using a first set of deblocking filter settings if a first block size of the first block and a second block size of the second block are greater than the reference size, and processing the pixels using a second set of deblocking filter settings if the first block size or the second block size is not greater than the reference size.

Abstract: A method of palette coding to apply the palette coding to sub-blocks of a coding unit and to allow each sub-block to use an individual palette table is disclosed. If the current coding block is not partitioned, the palette coding is applied to the current coding block using a first palette. If the current coding block is partitioned into multiple sub-blocks, the palette coding is applied to each sub-block using an individual second palette. Abstract: A method of Intra prediction filtering to determine whether to turn on or off the Intra prediction filter based on interleaved Intra prediction mode sets implicitly is disclosed. In one embodiment, initial Intra prediction block is derived based on neighboring reconstructed pixels of the current block. If the Intra prediction filter is on for the current Intra prediction mode, the Intra prediction filter is applied to the initial Intra prediction block to form a filtered Intra prediction block and Intra prediction encoding or decoding is applied to the current block using the filtered Intra prediction block as a predictor for the current block. For example, Intra gradient filter can be applied for even modes of Intra prediction modes from v to (v+8) and/or from h and (h+8). Bi-directional Intra prediction filter can be applied to some or all other modes.

Abstract: A method for color index coding of blocks in a picture is disclosed. In one embodiment for the decoder side, a current coding mode is parsed from the input coded bitstream for one or more first currently decoded pixels in a current block starting from a first starting position. If the current coding mode corresponds to a generalized copy-previous-row mode, one or more first reference pixels starting from a first starting reference position located at T-th row above the first currently decoded pixels are identified, where T is an integer equal to or greater than one. The first reference pixels starting from the first starting reference position are then used to decode the first currently decoded pixels starting from a first starting position by copying the first reference pixels starting from the first starting reference position respectively. The system may also include a copy-left mode or escape mode.
