A plasma display module that can optimize a position of an image board and connect an external image apparatus to a plasma display apparatus easily, and a plasma display apparatus including the plasma display module are disclosed. In one embodiment, the plasma display module includes: i) a chassis, ii) a plasma display panel supported by the chassis on a front portion of the chassis, the plasma display module comprising X electrodes and Y electrodes disposed parallel to each other, iii) an image board disposed on a rear portion of the chassis, and receiving and processing image signals input from an external device and iv) a Y electrode driving board disposed on the rear portion of the chassis, and electrically connected to the Y electrodes to apply the driving signals to the Y electrodes, wherein the Y electrode driving board and the image board are disposed on opposite sides of the chassis with respect to a center line crossing the chassis in a vertical direction.

A heat dissipation structure for a display panel efficiently dissipates heat generated during operation of the display panel, and a display module including the heat dissipation structure is also so characterized. The heat dissipation structure is capable of preventing electromagnetic waves generated during the operation of the display panel operation from adversely influencing a driving circuit. The heat dissipation structure comprises: a display panel; a heat dissipating sheet contacting a rear surface of the display panel; and a chassis base disposed on a rear side of the heat dissipating sheet and connected to the display panel via a double-sided adhesive element. The heat dissipating sheet includes two heat dissipating layers and a metal sheet layer interposed between the two heat dissipating layers.

A plasma display device to prevent damage to a signal transmission unit by improving the shape of a cover plate covering the signal transmission unit. The plasma display device includes: a plasma display panel; a chassis base installed at rear of the plasma display panel; a circuit unit installed at rear of the chassis base; a plurality of signal transmission units surrounding the edge of the chassis base, each of which has one end connected to the circuit unit and the other end extending to the plasma display panel to transmit an electrical signal from the circuit unit to the plasma display panel, wherein the signal transmission units comprise electronic elements; and a cover plate covering the electronic elements and the signal transmission unit and embossed with protrusions toward the signal transmission unit so as to be spaced apart from the electronic elements.

A display module, used for, e.g., a plasma display panel, is disclosed. In one embodiment, the display module includes a display panel, a drive circuit board driving the display panel, and a chassis base supporting the display panel and the drive circuit board. A curved portion is formed on the chassis base with a predetermined width, a boss is installed on an upper surface of the curved portion, and the drive circuit board is installed on the top of the boss. According to embodiments of the present invention, the strength of the chassis base constituting the display module is reinforced, without requiring a separate reinforcement member, and simultaneously the heat and noise generated by the display panel and the drive circuit board during operation can be appropriately dissipated and prevented.

A plasma display apparatus is disclosed. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes i) a plasma display panel displaying images, ii) a chassis base disposed on a rear portion of the plasma display panel, iii) a circuit unit disposed on a rear portion of the chassis base to drive the plasma display panel, and iv) at least one reinforcing member coupled to a rear surface of the chassis base. In addition, one of the chassis base and the reinforcing member includes two or more aligning recesses that are separated from each other, and the other includes aligning protrusions to be inserted into the aligning recesses. According to one embodiment of the invention, the reinforcing members can be located exactly and coupled rapidly to the chassis base.
