Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first node may transmit, to a second node on a beamformed link from the first node to the second node, a first signal, wherein the first node and the second node are associated with common timing; determine whether a second signal, based at least in part on the first signal, is received on a beamformed link from the second node to the first node; and transmit a third signal based at least in part on receiving the second signal or perform a sidelink beam failure recovery procedure based at least in part on determining that the second signal is not received. Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to preempting or cancelling sidelink or uplink communications, by a base station or a user equipment (UE). In an aspect, a base station can determine to schedule a first device to communicate, in first resources, sidelink communications having a first priority, determine to schedule a second device to transmit, in second resources, sidelink or uplink transmissions having a second priority, wherein the second resources overlap the first resources at least in a time domain, and transmit, based on the first priority and the second priority, an indication to the first or second device to preempt or cancel sidelink communications or uplink transmissions in associated resources. In another aspect, a UE can receive an indication to cancel sidelink transmission over sidelink resources previously scheduled for the sidelink transmission, and can refrain from the sidelink transmission over the sidelink resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a first user equipment (UE) establishing a sidelink connection with a second UE. The first UE may identify a frame structure for the first UE to communicate with a base station. The frame structure may include one or more downlink slots and one or more uplink slots. The base station may indicate a set of resources for the sidelink connection with the second UE. The set of resources may include at least one downlink slot of the one or more downlink slots. In accordance with the indication, the first UE may communicate with the second UE on the sidelink connection and using at least one beam and the indicated set of resources. The communication with the second UE may utilize at least the resources in the at least one downlink slot.

Abstract: Techniques, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be in communication with a first and second transmitting device (e.g., by sidelink communication links). The UE may receive, from the first transmitting device, a first reference signal on a first set of resources. The UE may additionally receive, from the second transmitting device, a second reference signal on a second set of resources that overlap in the time domain with the first set of resources. In some cases, the first and second set of resources may additionally overlap in the frequency domain. The UE may determine synchronization information for time tracking or frequency tracking of sidelink communications with the first and second transmitting devices based on the first and second reference signals. The UE may communicate with the first and second transmitting devices based on the synchronization information for time tracking or frequency tracking.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication. A user equipment (UE) may determine, based on a sidelink resource configuration from a base station, a physical sidelink control/shared channel (PSCCH/PSSCH) occasion to monitor for a sidelink transmission from a second UE. The UE may receive, during the PSCCH/PSSCH occasion, a signal indicative of a sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) command. The UE may determine to stop monitoring the PSCCH for the PSCCH/PSSCH occasion in response to the sidelink DRX command.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first UE may transmit a sidelink request to a second UE. The sidelink request may indicate a set or a segment of the data resources. A second UE may transmit a positive sidelink response indicating that the set or the segment of resources is available for reservation, or may refrain from transmitting a positive sidelink response if the set or the segment of the data resources is unavailable for reservation. A third UE may transmit a negative sidelink response indicating that the set or the segment of the data resources is unavailable for reservation, or may refrain from transmitting a negative sidelink response if the set or the segment of the data resources is available for reservation. If the requested data resources are available, then the first UE may transmit a sidelink confirmation reserving the requested data resources.
