    Abstract: Apparatus and methods prepare an adhesive tape platform with a battery for disposal at an end of its useful life. The adhesive tape platform determines when it is at the end of its useful life and performs an action to drain remaining battery life of the battery. When remaining life in the battery is less than a threshold level, the adhesive tape platform transmits a ready for disposal notification to an Internet of Things (IOT) system of the adhesive tape platform. The adhesive tape platform may determine its life expectancy and operational phases of the adhesive tape platform and assign battery usage for each of the operational phases such that the battery is depleted at an end of a last one of the operational phases. The adhesive tape platform may activate battery draining circuitry to drain the remaining battery life of the battery.

    Abstract: A node of a wireless sensing system automatically switches from using a primary satellite network to using a backup satellite network. The node uses primary parameters of the primary satellite network to determine when the primary satellite network is unavailable. The node determines, based on backup parameters for the backup satellite network, an expected availability of the backup satellite network, and establishes, during the expected availability, a communication connection with the backup satellite network. To reduce battery usage of at least one tape node of a wireless tracking system, a gateway node receives a wireless satellite signal from at least one navigation satellite of a satellite navigation system, decodes Ephemeris data therefrom, and distributes the Ephemeris data to the at least one tape node via a low-powered wireless communication interface.

    Abstract: The disclosure generally relates in part to a transient wireless communications network that includes a first intelligent node having a processor, a memory communicatively coupled with the processor and storing a predetermined schedule of shipping data for at least one asset, and one or more network communications interfaces to communicate on the transient wireless communications network, the memory storing machine readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to identify, based on referencing the predetermined schedule, a second intelligent node of the transient wireless communication network that is available to communicate with the first intelligent node based on a time slot of the predetermined schedule defining communication between intelligent nodes within the network.     Abstract: Systems and methods receive an image of at least part of an environmental layout and at least two geographic feature locations associated with the image. At least two geographic locations are determined, each corresponding to a respective one of the at least two geographic feature locations and a map scale is determined for the images based on the at least two geographic feature locations and the at least two geographic locations. The map scale allows conversion between points on the image and geographic locations. The image and the map scale are used to display a location interface on a client device that allows a user to search the environmental layout for an asset associated with a tracking node, where the location interface graphically displays graphical elements indicative of communication recency between the tracking tag and one or more infrastructure nodes.
