    Abstract: A building management system (BMS) includes building equipment operable to affect a physical state or condition of a building, a gateway device coupled to the building equipment, and a network adapter removably coupled to the gateway device. The network adapter couples the gateway device to a cloud-based platform. The cloud-based platform is configured to receive building data from the gateway device via the network adapter, and includes a hub to receive the building data and a plurality of cloud applications configured to receive the building data from the hub and process the building data to provide a building data output. The cloud-based platform is configured to communicate the building data output to and receive a command based on the building data from at least one of a control application, an analytic application, or a monitoring application. The gateway device is further configured to operate according to the command.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a control system for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system. The control system includes a user interface configured to receive a first input indicative of a first expected operating range of a first parameter in a first zone and to receive a second input indicative of a second expected operating range of a second parameter in a second zone. A first set point for the first parameter is within the first expected operating range and a second set point for the second parameter is within the second expected operating range. The control system includes a controller configured to manage operation of the HVAC system and to provide a first alert in response to the first parameter being outside of the first expected operating range and a second alert in response to the second parameter being outside of the second expected operating range.

    Abstract: A chiller system includes a mechanical-cooling circuit configured to circulate a refrigerant through an evaporator of the mechanical-cooling circuit, where the evaporator is configured to cool a conditioning fluid with the refrigerant. The chiller system also includes a free-cooling circuit configured to circulate the refrigerant through a heat exchanger of the free-cooling circuit, where the heat exchanger is configured to cool the conditioning fluid with the refrigerant. The chiller system also includes a distribution header having a first inlet configured to receive the refrigerant from the mechanical-cooling circuit, a second inlet configured to receive the refrigerant from the free-cooling circuit, and an internal volume fluidly coupled to the first inlet and the second inlet. A fan coil unit of the chiller system is configured to receive the refrigerant from the internal volume of the distribution header.

    Abstract: A heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a furnace having a primary heat exchanger and a secondary heat exchanger, where the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger form a heat exchange relationship between an airflow and an exhaust gas, and where the primary heat exchanger is positioned upstream of the secondary heat exchanger, a burner configured to generate the exhaust gas, a sensor configured to monitor an ambient temperature, and a control system configured to receive feedback from the sensor, compare the feedback to a threshold, operate the furnace in a first mode when the ambient temperature exceeds the threshold, and operate the furnace in a second mode when the ambient temperature is at or below the threshold, where the furnace operates above a condensation temperature when in the second mode, such that the exhaust gas does not condense when operating in the second mode.
