Abstract:
Polydiorganosiloxane polyoxamide, linear, block copolymers and methods of making the copolymers are provided. The method of making the copolymers involves reacting a diamine with a polydiorganosiloxane precursor having oxalylamino groups. The polydioroganosiloxane polyoxamide block copolymers are of the (AB)n type.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a curable silicone composition for preparing release layers and pressure sensitive adhesives, and to substrates bearing a layer of the cured composition. More specifically, this invention relates to a silicone composition, curable in the absence of both catalysts and actinic radiation comprising a cyclic anhydride copolymer and an amine-terminated polysiloxane.

Abstract:
Amino alkoxy-modified silsesquioxanes (amino AMS), and/or amino co-AMS compounds that also comprise a mercaptosilane or a blocked mercaptosilane, are excellent adhesives for coating plated or unplated metal wire for adherence of the wire to a rubber stock. The amino AMS and/or the amino/mercaptan co-AMS adhesives can be used with all types of rubber and there is no requirement for the use of special adhesive additives to the rubber vulcanizates, such as, but not limited to, cobalt, resins and high sulfur levels. In particular, the use of amino AMS and/or amino/mercaptan co-AMS compounds as adhesives for bonding wire to rubber also improves the adherence performance of the reinforcements to obtain sufficient bonding that is resistant to degradation over the course of time, especially resistance to thermal aging and/or thermo-oxidizing aging, in particular corrosion in the presence of water. Vulcanized rubber compositions that contain an amino AMS and/or amino/mercaptan co-AMS compound also have improved adhesion to embedded uncoated steel after humidity aging compared with vulcanized rubber compositions not containing the amino alkoxy-modified silsesquioxane.
Abstract:
An adhesive article comprising a first substrate having thereon an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer comprises a cured adhesive composition of a multifunctional ethylenically unsaturated siloxane polymer; and the first substrate comprises a polymer film, paper, a metal film, glass, ceramic, or a combination thereof; and wherein the adhesive layer has a microstructured surface that is substantiously continuous, and wherein the microstructured surface forms an array or pattern. The adhesive article is used to make laminated articles that spontaneously wet, and when applied to a substrate, remain removable or repositionable, even after long periods of time. The adhesive composition may be used in transfer adhesive films, and in laminated articles suitable for use in optical applications.
Abstract:
There is provided an adhesive film for a semiconductor, which can be attached to a semiconductor wafer at low temperature and which allows semiconductor chips to be obtained at high yield from the semiconductor wafer while sufficiently inhibiting generation of chip cracks and burrs. The adhesive film for a semiconductor comprises a polyimide resin that can be obtained by reaction between a tetracarboxylic dianhydride containing 4,4′-oxydiphthalic dianhydride represented by chemical formula (I) below and a diamine containing a siloxanediamine represented by the following general formula (II) below, and that can be attached to a semiconductor wafer at 100° C. or below.
