Abstract:
A sliding power lift and locking assembly for lifting and locking an object includes a motor, a first drive shaft, a first drive block assembly, a first drive housing, and a link arm. The first drive shaft has a body and a cylindrical axis and is rotationally driven by the motor. The first drive block assembly includes an aperture configured to engage the body of the first drive shaft, a latch dog with a first slot configured to engage a dog catch pin associated with the object, and a slider. A portion of the first drive housing and a portion of the first drive block assembly are provided in a track of the first drive housing, and the track of the first drive housing is configured such that the first drive block assembly is configured to move in a path relative to the first drive housing. The link arm includes a first end and second end. The first end of the link arm is configured to move with the slider of the first drive block assembly, and the second end of the link arm is configured to connect to the object.
Abstract:
A linear mechanical drive with precise end of travel load positioning includes a drive shaft having a threaded portion intermediate two non-threaded portions, reversible motor drive turning the shaft, a load carrier element threaded on the shaft for pulling the load along the shaft, the carrier disengaging at the non-threaded portions thereby to precisely determine the end position of the carrier irrespective of continued drive shaft rotation. The carrier reengages to the threaded portion upon reversal of drive shaft rotation, and a load connector on the carrier element is adjustable for precisely positioning the load at one or both of the end of travel positions. Other features disclosed protect the drive against excessive mechanical wear and disengage the load from the carrier element for strain relief.
Abstract:
A sliding door of the type employed in public transport vehicles and driven by an electric motor comprises at least one door-leaf coupled with a nut mounted on an endless screw which is driven in rotation in order to open and/or close the door. The nut is displaced in translational motion within a guide which prevents rotational motion. The locking device comprises means for interrupting the translational displacement of the guided nut at the end of travel and for permitting angular rotation of the nut with the endless screw, means for limiting the angular displacement of the nut and finally means for limiting the translational motion of the nut if it is displaced along the endless screw and no longer engaged in the guide.
