Abstract: Methods and apparatus to measure brand exposure in media streams are disclosed. Abstract: A method and a computer system for preflighting a graphics artwork file. The method includes storing rules corresponding to an object, a set of recognition inputs for identifying the object, and a graphics artwork file to be preflighted. An image is rendered from the graphics artwork file and machine vision identifies a representation of the object in the rendered image, a characteristic of the object, and a value for the characteristic. The identified characteristic value is checked against corresponding values embodied in the rules, and an output of the checking step is provided. The system comprises at least one computer processor, an input, an output, and a plurality of computer memory modules for storing the rules, the recognition inputs, the artwork file, and instructions for performing the rendering, the machine vision, and the checking method.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting text in videos. To address problems with conventional Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems, the present disclosure provides detection of text for improved OCR. Aspects of the present disclosure can, therefore, be utilized to detect a textual logo in videos, including when the text of the textual logo is clearly visible and when the text is inferred. Thus, examples capture appearance time of a textual logo from a video view perspective. Aspects use a multi-threshold pipeline for detecting video frames including the textual logo. A textual-visual scoring system is additionally used to leverage visual aspects of text in logos. A shot detection system is used to detect inferred text beyond a detected video frame. One or more verification models can be further applied.
