Abstract: A method for making a spatio-temporal combined optimal scheduling strategy of a mobile energy storage (MES) system includes: inputting data of a power system, a traffic system, and an MES system; setting a time interval, and initializing a time interval counter; inputting real-time fault, traffic, and MES data; and performing rolling optimization and solving, and delivering regulation decision instructions of the MES system, till a fault is removed. The core of the present disclosure is to propose a spatio-temporal combined optimal model of the MES system to describe spatio-temporal coupling statuses of an energy storage vehicle, a traffic network, and a power distribution network. The present disclosure provides guidance for an optimal scheduling decision of the MES system by properly regulating a traveling path and charging and discharging power of the MES system, thereby supporting high-reliability operation of the power distribution network.

Abstract: Systems for determining a phase of a device coupled to an electrical distribution system. The system includes a number of gateway devices configured to transmit a synchronization signal. The gateway device receives a node response message from a first node device that includes a duration value indicating a time between a receipt of the transmitted synchronization signal and a detected zero crossing. The gateway device compares the duration value against duration values received from node devices with a known phase connection and determines a phase of the first node device based on the comparison.

Abstract: Provided are an anti-islanding method for a distributed generator in a direct current distribution grid and an anti-islanding device therefor. The method includes: feeding an alternating voltage component into an output end of the AC/DC interface transverter, a frequency of the alternating voltage component being less than the power frequency; sampling a first voltage signal of an output end of the DC/DC transverter; extracting a first effective value of an alternating signal included in the first voltage signal; comparing the first effective value with a first preset voltage; and controlling the distributed generator to stop operation, in a case that it is determined that the first effective value is less than the first preset voltage, which indicates that islanding occurs for the distributed generator.

Abstract: A method performed in an electrical microgrid for facilitating connection of a first and second AC power networks. The method includes, when the power networks are disconnected, from the second power network, controlling the AC frequency of the first power network based on the AC frequency of the second power network for ensuring that when the first and second networks are connected power will flow from the power network of the first and second power networks having a higher frequency to the power network of the first and second power networks having a lower frequency. The method also includes, after the controlling, connecting the first power network to the second power network, whereby power, at the instant of connecting, flows from the power network of the first and second power networks having a higher frequency to the power network of the first and second power networks having a lower frequency.

Abstract: A method and system are provided. The method includes synchronously reconnecting a microgrid to a main grid after islanding of the microgrid. The synchronously reconnecting step includes calculating a phase angle difference between synchrophasor measurements collected from a common coupling on the main grid and synchrophasor measurements collected from a common coupling on the microgrid. The synchronously reconnecting step further includes calculating, by a controller, a frequency reference deviation based on the phase angle difference. The synchronously reconnecting step also includes adjusting a frequency of the diesel generator based on the frequency reference deviation.

Abstract: A method and arrangement are provided for time synchronization between two geographically separated stationary clocks, such as first and second clocks located respectively at first and second ends of an AC power line. A first representation of an oscillating power line quantity is produced by measuring or recording the power line quantity at the first end of the power line, and time-stamping the first representation by the first clock. A second representation of the same oscillating power line quantity is produced by measuring the power line quantity at the second end of the power line, and time-stamping the second representation by the second clock. The first and second representations are compared to determine a clock offset between the first and second clocks. Based on the comparison, one or both of the first and second clocks are adjusted to reduce the determined clock offset.
