Abstract:
A human-machine interface assembly includes a user interface and a passive force feedback mechanism. The user interface is configured, upon receipt of an input force that exceeds a null breakout force, to move from a null position to a first control position and, upon receipt of an input force that exceeds a soft stop force, to move beyond the first control position. The passive force feedback mechanism is coupled to the user interface and is configured to supply the null breakout force to the user interface when the user interface is in the null position, and supply the soft stop force to the user interface when the user interface is in the first control position. The soft stop force exceeds the null breakout force and is not supplied to the user interface unless the user interface is in the first control position.
Abstract:
A driver interface assembly (10) is provided comprising a controller element (15) mounted to a body (16) which forms an integral part of an armrest (11) associated with a driver's seat (12). The body is rotatable with respect to the armrest between two positions: (a) an operating position, in which the controller element is exposed for operation thereof, and (b) a stowed position in which the controller element is concealed from use. The body remains substantially within the profile of the armrest when in both the operating position and the stowed position. The volume occupied by the armrest (11) can therefore be exploited to mount and stow a controller element (15). This is particularly advantageous in a working environment where space is at a premium.
Abstract:
A driving apparatus is provided with: a first base portion; a first stage portion; a first elastic portion which has elasticity to displace the first stage portion in one direction (X axis); a second stage portion which is disposed on the first stage portion and on which a driven object is mounted; a second elastic portion which has elasticity to displace the second stage portion in other direction (Y axis); a first applying device for applying an excitation force for displacing the second stage portion such that the second stage portion is resonated in the other direction at a resonance frequency determined by the second stage portion and the second elastic portion; and a second applying device for applying a driving force for displacing, in a stepwise manner or in a continuous manner, the first stage portion in the one direction.
Abstract:
A stick control apparatus includes a member, a fixed location and a pivot point arranged so the member can pivot with respect to the fixed location to follow a deflection axis. A C-shaped spring engages indentation arrangements and provides a bias force to return the member to a predefined position on the deflection axis from any point along the deflection axis.
Abstract:
A system and method for determining the input force supplied to a user interface by a user is provided. A passive feedback mechanism is coupled to the user interface, and a change in position of the passive feedback mechanism is sensed. The input force supplied by the user to the user interface is then calculated from the sensed change in position.
Abstract:
An actuator including magnets arranged on a plane on a plane, coils respectively arranged to face the magnets and move relatively with facing the magnets when a current is applied thereto, a moving member connected to either the magnets or coils, a guide member that guides the moving member to move in a given two-dimensional range; and a hit prevention mechanism to prevent the moving member from hitting a movable limit in the given two-dimensional range. The hit prevention mechanism is provided at the movable limit (edge) in the two-dimensional range. It is thus possible to prevent the moving member from hitting the movable limit. This can prevent damage or any hitting sound. The actuator can be used in a comfortable manner and stably for a long period.
Abstract:
When a wafer stage WST accelerates and decelerates on a base, a torque that acts on a wafer drive system including the base and the like is cancelled out by a torque that acts on the wafer drive system by driving a counter of a coutermass device along a linear guide in the Z-axis direction at a predetermined acceleration. Thereby, the torque that acts upon the wafer drive system is cancelled and the exposure apparatus can expose the wafer with good accuracy.
Abstract:
A work vehicle with a working implement, comprising: a control lever 49 for controlling the working implement 3, the control lever being rockably disposed laterally of a driver's seat 16 mounted on a vehicle body 7; a control valve 52 disposed laterally of the vehicle body for controlling actuators 32, 44 that drive the working implement; and interlocking links 56, 57 for interlocking the control lever and spools 54, 55 of the control valve 52, and transmitting rocking of the control lever to the spools; wherein the control lever 49 and the spools 54, 55 are staggered transversely and longitudinally of the vehicle body 7, and the interlocking links 56, 57 are bent, one end of each interlocking link being connected to a first link connector 72, 68c connected to the control lever, the other end of each interlocking link being connected to a second link connector connected to one of the spools.
Abstract:
A shifter for a vehicle transmission has a lever with a base end. A holder holds the base end of the lever rotatably in first and second perpendicular directions. A shaft is coupled to the base end of the lever. A shift-cable connection has a shaft insertion hole and is held swingably by the holder. The shift-cable connection is connectable with a shift cable connected to a transmission. The follower shaft has a distal end connectable with a selection cable connected to the transmission, and is inserted into the shaft insertion hole to allow the distal end to protrude therefrom. Thus, the shaft swings when the lever is tilted in the first direction to press an inner surface of the shaft insertion hole to swing the shift-cable connection, and moves inside and along the shaft insertion hole when the lever is tilted in the second direction.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a control device, in particular for an aircraft, having a multiaxially tiltable joystick for the actuation of signal transducers, in particular for the pitch control and roll control of an aircraft, as well as having a cardan-like joint by means of which the joystick is tiltable about different pivot axes, said joint furthermore having at least one freewheel for a tilt movement of the joystick about one of the pivot axes. In accordance with the invention, the freewheel is formed by a lever mechanism or by an elastic component.
