Abstract:
An islanding detection apparatus for a distributed generation power system and a detection method therefor operates a power converter to act as a virtual capacitor or inductor at a frequency close to but unequal to that of a utility power system under abnormal condition of the utility power system. When power failure occurs in the utility power system, only the distributed generation power system supplies power to a load so that a load voltage has been changed in at least one of amplitude and frequency which can be immediately detected islanding phenomenon.

An active matrix substrate is provided. The active matrix substrate includes a substrate, scan lines, data lines, and pixel units. The scan lines, data lines, and pixel units are all disposed over the substrate. The pixel unit includes an active component, a pixel electrode, and an auxiliary electrode. The active components are electrically connected with the scan lines and data lines. The pixel electrode has openings extended from the edge of the pixel electrode to the interior of the pixel electrode. The auxiliary electrode is electrically connected with the pixel electrode controlled by a previous scan line and includes a body portion and extending portions disposed in the openings. The pixel electrode is electrically connected with the auxiliary electrode of a pixel unit controlled by a next scan line.
Abstract:
A three-leg power converter apparatus including first, second and third input/output ports, a three-leg bridge converter, a filter circuit, a decoupling circuit and a controller is presented. The three-leg bridge converter has three single-leg circuits, two DC terminals connecting to two terminals of the first input/output port, and three mid-terminals with each of them being formed by a middle point of one of the three single-leg circuits. The controller connects to the three-leg bridge converter for controlling an input or output current passing through each DC terminal and mid-terminal. The filter circuit connects between two of the mid-terminals and the second input/output port. The decoupling circuit has two terminals connecting to the second input/output port and another terminal connecting to a terminal of the third input/output port, with the third input/output port having another terminal connecting to the other mid-terminal that dose not connect with the filter circuit.
Abstract:
User input defines transmission filter rules to be met when sending an error report to a support provider. User input also defines collection filter rules to be met when including failure data within an error report. Error reports corresponding to crash failures at clients are filtered with the transmission filter rules to determine which of the error reports to send to the support provider, and each error report to be sent to the support provider is further filtered to remove any failure data that fails to satisfy the collection filter rules. Each error report that satisfies the transmission filter rules, along with the failure data satisfying the collection filter rules, is sent to the support provider for analysis. Standard and or custom failure responses corresponding to the failures at the clients may be retrieved and sent to the clients in accordance with the collection filter rules.
Abstract:
Disclosed relates to a system and a method for monitoring and managing patent events. The system comprises a patent event selection unit and a monitoring and managing patent unit. The patent event selection unit verifies any combination of the time, prosecution status, qualification and contents of a patent event according to the inputted information related to the patent event. The unit also monitors and analyzes the patent event. The monitoring and managing patent unit sets up alert and/or warning activated, generates corresponding responses or provides related comments or actions.
Abstract:
A high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) extender compatible with high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) has a data receiver for receiving video/audio data and a data transmitter for transmitting the video/audio data to a display device. An Ethernet cable consisting of eight cores is connected between the data receiver and the data transmitter. When either the video/audio data or the display device complies with the HDCP, a voltage signal with level variation is transmitted between the data receiver and the data transmitter through the Ethernet cable to permit the display device to display the video/audio data.
Abstract:
A paper feeding method for a printer is provided. The method includes the steps of: feeding a paper for printing a first side of the paper; lifting an up-feeding cap and feeding the paper to a place between the up-feeding cap and a feed roller when the first side of the paper is finished printing; laying down the up-feeding cap after a predetermined duration; and reversing the paper for printing the other side of the paper. The method is suitable for two-side printing and capable of avoiding paper jam or paper damage due to paper distortion by ink.
Abstract:
A multi-domain liquid crystal display includes a first and a second substrates, and a liquid crystal layer is interposed between the first and the second substrates. A first common electrode is formed on an entire surface of the first substrate. A first dielectric layer is formed on the second substrate and covers first signal lines, and a second dielectric layer is formed on the first dielectric layer and covers second signal lines. A plurality of pixel electrodes are formed on the second dielectric layer, and a plurality of second common electrodes are formed on the second substrate, where a voltage difference existing between the second common electrodes and the pixel electrode produces fringe fields.
Abstract:
An automatic apparatus includes an input platform, a creature shaking mechanism, a flushing unit and an output platform. The input platform has a transporting unit. A creature container containing at least one creature is placed on the input platform. The creature shaking mechanism is connected to the input platform. When the creature container is transported to a positioning region of the creature shaking mechanism, the creature container is subject to a shaking operation in response to a power source, thereby turning over the creature and exposing different surfaces of the at least one creature. The flushing unit generates a spout of water to flush the different surfaces of the at least one creature so as to sufficiently shed superficial adherent substances off the at least one creature. The output platform is connected to the creature shaking mechanism for receiving the creature container that is departed from the positioning region.
