Abstract:
A light mounted in a top hub of a center shank of a patio umbrella is disclosed. The light includes a transparent cap; a seat secured to the shank and including radial grooves extended from the shank with one ends of ribs pivotably provided therein, and peripheral compartments each formed between two adjacent grooves; light emitting units provided in the compartments; a shade secured to the shank and the seat, the shade including transparent casings equally spaced around the shank, the casings being secured to the compartments for enclosing the light emitting units; and a power source provided in the cap and electrically connected to the light emitting units. Preferably, the light emitting element is one or more LEDs and the power source is a solar battery.
Abstract:
An umbrella for use in a golf bag for protecting items stored in the golf bag, the umbrella comprising: a telescopic shaft including an upper sliding tube, and a lower support tube for slidingly receiving a portion of the upper sliding tube, the lower support tube having a ring fixed therearound; an inverted U-shaped clip fixed to the ring, the clip being capable of fastening to a golf bag; wherein a canopy comprises a first canopy having a substantially flat frame of concave disk-shaped portion and a second canopy having a substantially vertical frame of a truncated, hollow cone-shaped section so that the items within the golf bag are covered by the canopy when the shaft is retracted and the clip is secured to the golf bag.
Abstract:
A hunter tent comprises a dome roof comprising flaps formed therearound, coupling mechanisms along a lower edge, an upright shank, and a folding radial frame; a wall comprising loops formed along its upper edge, mated coupling mechanisms each formed on an upper edge of the loop, each mated coupling mechanism being adapted to releasably couple to the corresponding coupling mechanism for coupling the wall and the dome together, and pegs driven through peg loops along a lower edge of the wall into the ground for fastening wherein the wall is an elongated piece after being extended so as to form a first edge at one end and a second edge at the other end, the edges being operatively coupled together; and a fastening bar comprising holding means at its head for retaining the shank in place, and a threaded end fastened at a tree.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a windproof umbrella having only one canopy. A plurality of ropes formed of extendable plastic material are tightly coupled between a second intermediate ring and rope connectors proximate tips of ribs. The ropes are adapted to pull the canopy inwardly for preventing the umbrella from being easily inverted in a normal position. Even in a case of the umbrella inverted by high winds, air can exit upwardly around the edge of the canopy. Thus, the umbrella is adapted to easily return to its normal position by pulling a lower ring down slightly after high winds causing the inversion of the umbrella has weakened.
Abstract:
An umbrella comprises an umbrella frame, a lower cloth, and an upper cloth, the upper cloth being in covering relation to an upper periphery of the lower cloth. The upper periphery in each sector of the lower cloth is formed as a suspending cambered-recess element. A plurality of cambered-recess elements are formed by a piece of elongate cloth. A continuous multiple-lobe element is formed along the upper periphery of the lower cloth by stitching the suspending cambered-recess elements to the upper periphery of the lower cloth. The upper periphery of each unit of the lower cloth is loosely connected to each sector of the upper cloth so that a plurality of vents are formed between the upper periphery of the lower cloth and a periphery of the upper cloth for venting wind therethrough.
Abstract:
A vented umbrella is resistant to inversion from the wind and effective in ventilation. The umbrella comprises a foldable frame, a lower canopy, and an upper canopy in a concentric covering relation with respect to lower canopy with a small overlapped peripheral area therebetween. A plurality of nonelastic ropes are provided each connected between the center portion of peripheral edge in respective sector of lower canopy and the upper ring. Hence, a plurality of openings are formed at the junction between sectors of upper and lower canopies in a fully extended condition. This also can save cloth and effect a simplified manufacturing process.
Abstract:
An auxiliary elastic support mechanism for a large umbrella with automatic open feature is provided. The umbrella is supported by a plurality of ribs and a plurality of spreaders. The mechanism comprises a plurality of rib joint members each put on the rib having a pivot joint and a first spring anchoring lug; a plurality of spreader joint members, each having an outer end secured to one of the rib joint members, an inner end for receiving the spreader therein, and a second spring anchoring lug; and a plurality of auxiliary springs each having an outer hook engaged with the first spring anchoring lug and an inner hook engaged with the second spring anchoring lug.
Abstract:
A windproof umbrella comprises a main umbrella including a plurality of ribs, a lower canopy having a plurality of substantially trapezoidal sectors, and a center vent hole; and an upper umbrella including a plurality of rigid ribs, and an upper canopy having a plurality of sectors, wherein each rib of the upper umbrella is integral with each rib of the main umbrella by means of a connection of a securing device for forming a gap between a corner of two adjacent sectors of the upper canopy and a corner of two corresponding adjacent sectors of the lower canopy, and the upper canopy is in covering relation to and capable of elastically separating from the main umbrella for exhausting the air from the space between the lower canopy and the upper canopy.
