Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve has a frame including a plurality of strut members, an inflow end, and an outflow end. A leaflet structure is situated at least partially within the frame, and a covering is disposed around an exterior of the frame. The covering includes a cushioning layer, and a first strip member folded over an inflow circumferential edge portion of the cushioning layer to form a first protective portion. A second strip member is folded over an outflow circumferential edge portion of the cushioning layer to form a second protective portion. The first strip member and the second strip member are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis of the prosthetic heart valve.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a prosthetic valve assembly includes an annular frame being radially expandable and compressible between a radially compressed configuration and a radially expanded configuration, a valvular structure comprising a plurality of leaflets mounted inside the annular frame, a plurality of posts mounted on an interior surface of the annular frame, and a pair of commissure attachment members extending outwardly from each post and away from each other. Each two adjacent leaflets can form a pair of commissure tabs. Each pair of commissure tabs can be attached to a corresponding pair of the commissure attachment members.

Abstract: A docking station for a prosthetic heart valve includes a radially expandable and collapsible frame with a first plurality of struts, an inflow end portion, an outflow end portion, and a longitudinal axis. A sealing member is disposed on the outflow end portion and configured to form a seal between the docking station and a body lumen. The docking station further includes a valve seat coupled to the frame and configured to receive an expandable prosthetic valve. Abstract: Anchoring or docking devices configured to be positioned at a native valve of a human heart and to provide structural support for docking a prosthetic valve therein. The docking devices can have coiled structures that define an inner space in which the prosthetic valve can be held. The docking devices can have enlarged end regions with circular or non-circular shapes, for example, to facilitate implantation of the docking device or to better hold the docking device in position once deployed. The docking devices can be laser-cut tubes with locking wires to assist in better maintaining a shape of the docking device. The docking devices can include various features to promote friction, such as frictional cover layers. Such docking devices can have ends configured to more securely attach the cover layers to cores of the docking devices.

Abstract: Various mechanically expandable prosthetic heart valves, as well as deliver apparatus, delivery assemblies, and methods for implanting such prosthetic heart valves. In one example, a prosthetic heart valve includes a mechanically expandable frame, a valve structure, and an actuator. The frame includes a plurality of struts and is movable between a radially compressed state and a radially expanded state. The valve structure includes a plurality of leaflets. The actuator is coupled to the frame and comprises an actuation lumen, a locking member, and a locking element. The actuation lumen is circumferentially spaced and axially parallel to the locking member. The actuation lumen is configured for receiving an axially movable actuation shaft that can move the frame between the radially compressed state and the radially expanded state. The locking element is rotatably coupled to the locking member and is configured to lock the frame at a desired state.

Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes an annular frame including a plurality of strut members that is radially collapsible and expandable. A leaflet structure is situated within the frame, and includes a plurality of leaflets having opposing commissure tab portions on opposite sides of the leaflet. Each commissure tab portion is paired with an adjacent commissure tab portion of an adjacent leaflet to form one or more commissures. A commissure support element is positioned at each of the commissures, and comprise a first member and a second member that are separable from each other and configured to receive leaflets therebetween. The first and second members are detached from the frame and spaced radially inwardly from the frame such that the members contact the leaflets radially inward from the frame and limit movement of the leaflets so that they articulate at a location that is spaced radially inwardly from the frame.
