Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, a plurality of detection electrodes, a drive circuit, a detector, and a first switching circuit. The detection electrodes are provided in a display area of the substrate. The drive circuit supplies a drive signal to the detection electrodes. The detector receives, from the detection electrodes, a detection signal corresponding to a capacitance change in the detection electrodes occurring when the drive signal is supplied. The first switching circuit is coupled to the detector via wiring and provided between the detection electrodes and the detector.
