Abstract: A display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a display functional layer, first electrodes, pixel electrodes, second electrodes, a drive circuit, and a conductive body. The second substrate faces the first substrate. The display functional layer is provided between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first electrodes are provided between the first substrate and the second substrate. The pixel electrodes face the first electrodes between the first substrate and the second substrate. The second electrodes overlap the first electrodes through the display functional layer. The drive circuit supplies drive signals to a pair of the first electrode, wherein the drive circuit supplies a first electric potential to one of the pair of first electrodes and supplies a drive signal having a second electric potential different from the first electric potential to the other of the pair of first electrodes simultaneously.

Here, the plurality of driving terminals of the semiconductor device for touch are smaller in number than the plurality of common electrodes disposed in the pixel array.

Abstract: A sensor-equipped display device includes a display panel comprising a common electrode; a sensor comprising a plurality of detection electrodes extending in a first direction and arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction, each of the detection electrodes including a first electrode and a second electrode which are opposed to the common electrode, are divided and extend in the first direction, each of the first electrode and the second electrode including a gradient in width in the first direction in the detection electrode, the gradient in width of the first electrode and the gradient in width of the second electrode being inclined in opposite directions; and a controller configured to effect switching to either a first mode or a second mode, and to control driving of the common electrode and the detection electrodes, wherein the sensor further comprises a dummy electrode disposed between neighboring detection electrodes.

Abstract: In, for example, such an in-cell touch panel of an electromagnetic induction method as to generate a magnetic field for touch detection in a display device, provided is an input detection device in which even an end portion of a display area can generate the same magnetic field as that generated at a center of the display area. The input detection device includes a plurality of first drive electrodes placed in a detection area; a second drive electrode placed in a frame area; and a second drive circuit driving the second drive electrode. In addition, the plurality of first drive electrodes and the second drive electrode extend in a first direction to be arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction, and the second drive electrode and the second drive circuit are arranged in the first direction in the frame area.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a touch detecting apparatus includes: three or more detectors; three or more detection signal lines; an integration line; three or more switches; and a control circuit. The control circuit controls the number of times an output integration is performed. During the output integration, the control circuit switches a first type switch to a decoupling mode, and switches second type switches to a coupling mode. The first type switch is one switch coupled to a first type detector, and each second type switch is coupled to one or more of second type detectors with which the second type switch corresponds. During the output integration, the integration line outputs an integrated output of outputs from the second type detectors. The output integration is performed a plurality of times corresponding to at least the number of the detectors while a combination of the second type detectors is changed.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: a plurality of pixels aligned in row and column directions, each of the pixels including a drive element; a plurality of scan lines each coupled with the drive elements included in the pixels aligned in the row direction to transmit thereto a scan signal for selecting the pixels row by row; a plurality of signal lines each coupled with the drive elements included in the pixels aligned in the column direction to write display data; and a display control unit. The display control unit alternately repeats a display period and a stop period. In a latter term of the stop period, display control unit provides the display data written in the respective pixels in a row that has been selected during the display period immediately before the stop period, to the signal lines corresponding to the respective pixels.
