Abstract:
Method of recording and reproducing picture information and a recording medium on which the picture information is recorded by the method, and an apparatus for playing such a recording medium. In addition to a coded information signal, graphic codes including picture information and audio codes made up of codes by which data can be compressed at a compression rate higher than that of the coded information signal. The graphic codes and said audio codes are inserted as the subcode of the coded information signal together with identification codes indicating whether the codes include the picture information or the audio information. At the time of playback of the recording medium, the subcode is demodulated in accordance with the identification codes.
Abstract:
A magazine-housed disk reproducing apparatus is disclosed which enables the user to easily determine the contents of the various disks contained in the magazine. The names of tunes and the like provided on the various available disks are stored in a memory. An identifying device detects which magazines containing which disks have been loaded. A display device is activated to indicate to the user the desired content information.
Abstract:
In changing or otherwise handling sequential videotex codes composed of geometric codes representing individual image areas as respective geometric drawings and also characteristic codes representing attributes of the geometric drawings, the order of transmission of the geometric codes and characteristic codes is supervised on an order table and a characteristic code table is provided for supervising the characteristic codes, with correction or rearranging of the videotex code data being effected on these tables. In the case where the videotex codes are to represent an input color image, a histogram of the frequencies of occurrence of all colors represented by color data for each input color image is produced and a predetermined relatively small number n of colors having the highest frequencies of occurrence, either in the histogram as a whole, or in divisions of the histogram, are selected and each image area has assigned thereto color data representing the one of the n selected colors closest to the actual color of the image area in question.
Abstract:
A reproducing apparatus which reproduces speech sounds at a speed faster than a normal reproduction speed. The outputting operation may be performed, making it easier to hear speech sounds when the video searching operation is performed through hearing of the speech sounds in the VTR or the like. The reproduction is adapted to be performed by the other head which is different in azimuth angle during the normal reproduction operation from the double azimuth heads during a given frame reproduction in the 1.5 times speed reproduction with one head of the rotary heads of the normal two heads being provided as a double azimuth head. The noise caused through the reproduction of the adjacent track may be removed.
Abstract:
A unit type strain gauge having a protective outer casing of a hard material provided with an internal space open at one side and a pressing member housed in the internal space arranged to press a strain gauge element attached to it against an object, in which strain is to be measured, the remainder of said space being filled with soft synthetic rubber arranged to maintain the parts of the gauge in position and to maintain a dust proof and moisture proof structure.
Abstract:
Fine graphite particles include plate-like graphite particles; and an aromatic vinyl copolymer which is adsorbed on the plate-like graphite particles, and which contains a vinyl aromatic monomer unit represented by the following formula (1): —(CH2—CHX)— (1) (in the formula (1), X represents a phenyl group, a naphthyl group, an anthracenyl group, or a pyrenyl group, provided that these groups may have each a substituent).
Abstract:
An intake air heating apparatus may include an air pump, an intake chamber, an air heater, and a delivery pipe associated with an intake manifold. When intake air is heated, a throttle valve may be closed, the air pump may be started, and electrical power may be supplied to the air heater. The air flowing from the intake chamber may be heated by the air heater. Thereafter, the air may flow from the delivery pipe into branch pipes and circulate to the intake chamber. At that time, since the throttle valve may be closed, and an intake valve or an exhaust valve of an engine may be closed, the heated air may not flow out and the air temperature in the intake manifold and the intake air heating apparatus may increase.
Abstract:
An object of the invention is to provide a gas barrier characteristic film that has a gas barrier characteristic and that is excellent in the repetitive reproducibility of the gas barrier characteristic. The film is a gas barrier characteristic film in which an [A] layer and a [B] layer mentioned below are sequentially layered on at least one surface of a macromolecular base, the [A] layer being a crosslinked resin layer whose pencil hardness is greater than or equal to H and whose surface free energy is less than or equal to 45 mN/m, and the [B] layer being a silicon-containing inorganic layer whose thickness is 10 to 1000 nm.
Abstract:
A conductive laminate includes a substrate, a crosslinked layer, and a conductive layer and a protective layer, wherein (i) the crosslinked layer is composed of a crosslinked polymer including a structure in which compounds, each having two or more carbon-carbon double bond groups contributing to a polymerization reaction, are subjected to the polymerization reaction, and also the mass content of a unit structure portion of the carbon-carbon double bond group in the structure derived from the carbon-carbon double bond group is from 9 to 26% by mass relative to the total mass of the crosslinked layer; (ii) the crosslinked layer has a thickness of 50 nm to 1 μm; (iii) the conductive layer contains a conductive component having a network structure composed of linear structures; and (iv) the protective layer has an average thickness (t) of 70 nm to 1 μm.
Abstract:
To provide an electromagnetic-wave shielding plate superior in an electromagnetic-wave shielding property, a light-transmitting property and non-visibility of a mesh pattern at low cost. A pattern of a resin layer is printed on a metal layer of a transparent substrate by a printing method. After that, the metal layer is over-etched with the resin layer used as an etching mask, and a part of the resin layer protruding from the remaining metal layer in a plate-surface direction is removed. As a result, an electromagnetic-wave shielding plate superior in an electromagnetic-wave shielding property and non-visibility and having, for example, a pattern line width of 3 μm or more and 25 μm or less.
