Abstract:
The invention concerns hard panels for floor coverings, which are provided, at least on two opposite edges, with coupling devices made in one piece with the panels wherein similar panels may be coupled together to form a floor covering, wherein these coupling devices provide for an interlocking in a direction perpendicular to the plane of coupled panels, as well as in a direction perpendicular to the edges concerned and parallel to the plane of coupled panels. These coupling devices comprise a tongue and a groove. A lip which is situated on the bottom side of the groove is longer than a lip located on the top side of the groove. The edge which is provided with the tongue is made elastically flexible.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a locking system for mechanical joining of floorboards (1) constructed from a body (30), a rear balancing layer (34), and an upper surface layer (32). A strip (6), which is integrally formed with the body (30) of the floorboard and which projects from a joint plane (F) and under an adjoining board (1), has a locking element (8) which engages a locking groove (14) in the rear side of the adjoining board. The joint edge provided with the strip (6) is modified with respect to the balancing layer (34), for example by means of machining of the balancing layer under the strip (6), in order to prevent deflection of the strip (6) caused by changes in relative humidity. The invention also relates to a floorboard provided with such a locking system, as well as a method for making floorboards with such a locking system.
Abstract:
A flooring construction is provided having a unitary construction with a top layer providing a finished flooring surface and an insulation layer adjacent the top layer. The flooring panel includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion has a larger dimension than the lower portion and extends outwardly beyond the lower portion. A recessed portion between the upper portion and the lower portion defines a channel. A plurality of interlock support elements having a vertical web and an upper horizontal flange are arranged so that the horizontal flange extends into the channel. The vertical web extends below the lower portion to raise the flooring.
Abstract:
THIS DISCLOSURE RELATES TO A COMPOSITE FLOORING WHEREIN EACH FLOORING ELEMENT IS MADE UP OF AT LEAST TWO BOARDS WITH EACH BOARD BEING TAPERED AND WITH THE WIDE END OF ONE BOARD BEING DISPOSED ADJACENT THE NARROW END OF THE NEXT ADJACENT BOARD, AND WHEREIN THE BOARDS MAY BE REINFORCED BY UNDERLYING BOARDS DISPOSED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE FIRST BOARDS, ONLY THE EXPOSED BOARDS BEING THE WEARING BOARDS OF THE FLOORING.
Abstract:
Provided is a wall panel for forming a wall covering with multiple panels, including a centrally located core. The core includes a rear side, a decorative side opposite the rear side, and at least two sides including coupling parts for mutual coupling of several panels. The coupling parts are arranged to be coupled with an angling motion. A new panel is arranged to be angled into a panel already forming part of the wall covering. The coupling parts include at least one first coupling part and at least one second coupling part arranged on opposite sides of the core. The first coupling part includes a sideward tongue, an upper bridge portion for connecting the sideward tongue to the core and a downward groove for accommodating at least a parts of an upward locking element. The second coupling part includes a groove.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to building panels, such as floor panels, including a locking device. The locking device includes a protrusion and a groove configured to cooperate for vertical locking of a first edge portion of a first building panel to an adjacent second edge portion of a second building panel. The locking device further includes a separate tongue arranged in an insertion groove and a recess configured to cooperate for horizontal locking of the first and the second edge portions. The first and second edge portions are configured to be assembled by a relative essentially horizontal displacement and/or by angling. The insertion groove is provided vertically below at least one horizontal plane extending along a vertical locking surface provided in a third edge portion of the first building panel.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing rectangular panels, wherein the panels have a substrate and a top layer. The panels are provided with a first pair of opposite edges, namely a first edge, and an opposite second edge. The method includes the steps of applying a liquid on at least a part of the first edge. The liquid penetrates the respective edge to a certain depth. The method further includes applying varnish on at least a part of the first edge while the liquid on the first edge is still wet.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a multi-purpose tile system, in particular a floor tile system, comprising a plurality of multi-purpose tiles, in particular floor tiles, wall tiles, or ceiling tiles. The invention also relates to a tile covering, in particular floor covering, ceiling covering, or wall covering, consisting of mutually coupled tiles according to the invention. The invention further relates to a tile for use in multi-purpose tile system according to the invention.
