Abstract:
The invention relates to a system for opening and closing a window aperture, the system comprising: a moveable window panel; a pulley assembly coupled to the moveable window panel; a counterweight; and a pulley actuation mechanism. The moveable panel is heavier than the counterweight, the latter being attached to a first lateral side of the moveable panel via a first part of the pulley assembly. The pulley actuation mechanism is attached to an opposite lateral side of the moveable panel via a second part of the pulley assembly. The pulley actuation mechanism is switchable between energised and non-energised states based on one or more trigger events, between a closing mode whereby the pulley actuation mechanism retracts the second part of the pulley assembly thus imparting an additional closing force to the moveable panel sufficient to raise the moveable panel; and an opening mode whereby the pulley actuation mechanism is non-energised such that a passive opening force is imparted to the moveable panel by virtue of its weight to lower the moveable panel. A system for controlling a window system based on aircraft detection is also disclosed.
Abstract:

The event information is readily accessible by management or supervisory personnel, to see all of the recorded information concerning a specified event. Thus, an event can be readily reconstructed after the fact, using all available sensors and other information relevant to a manager or supervisor. An alert can be issued whenever an abnormal or unauthorized event occurs during operations. A QR code reader can be provided which communicates with the system to enable a person carrying the cell phone to scan QR codes at specified locations or on specified items or vehicles.
Abstract:
A sliding door automatic closing device is provided whereby a cylindrical tube is attached to the sliding door and a pulley housing is rotateably mounted to the top of the cylindrical tube. A cable is attached at one end to a cable housing, the housing mounted onto the frame header, and the cable is attached at a second end to a weight within the cylindrical tube. The bearing-mounted pulley housing allows the sliding door panel to breakout when needed and then be returned to its original position for continual use of the automatic closing feature without any mechanical adjustments. The bearing-mounted pulley housing, cable, and cable housing all remain in their original planar positions relative to the sliding door panel header; that is, these components do not breakout along with the sliding door panel.
Abstract:
A parking area control and management system employs a card reader, which reads identification information from a card commonly carried by a person, such as a driver's license or credit card or other identity card carried by a user that is issued by an entity other than a parking area management entity. A record is made of the identification information upon entrance of a vehicle into the parking area. The person may subsequently leave the parking area on foot and regain entry to the parking area by presenting the same card. Later, the same card is used to exit the parking area, via the vehicle, and to validate that the same person is leaving with the vehicle. The parking area control and management system also includes sensors, such as loop detectors and electric eyes, to determine if a second vehicle or a pedestrian follows behind a vehicle entering into, or exiting from, the parking area. The parking area control and management system can be used to manage existing loop detectors and electric eyes, that normally control door and gate safety access systems, and to integrate those devices into an alarm system, such that an alert is issued whenever an abnormal or unauthorized event occurs during operations.
Abstract:
There is provided an active brake release device attached to the exterior of a door controller having a first electromagnet, in which a sliding portion can slide to activate a sliding bar when the first electromagnet is energized; a first and a second actuator, in which the first actuator is located to abut against the break release bar of the door controller, and a sliding pin of the first actuator is yieldingly biased in the anti-activation direction of the bar; and, the second actuator is limited by a limit means at a fixed position; a second electromagnet, which is used to release the second actuator when the second electromagnet is energized; and a circuit, which includes a limit-switch for switching on the first electromagnet upon resetting of the device and a capacitor which is used to temporarily supply power to the second electromagnet in an event of unexpected electricity failure. Thus, in the instant of unexpected electricity failure, the active brake release device will actively release the brake by a mechanical force, and shut off the safety door by sliding down with its own weight.
Abstract:
An active break release device driven by a second motor and externally attached to the door controller, which is used for the triggering of automatic brake releasing to close the safety door in unexpected electricity failure condition, in which the door controller have a housing for receiving a first motor, the driving torque of which is transferred through a rotary shaft to a reel for winding the door; a braking device is provided at the outside of said rotary shaft, which includes a braking portion normally located at a brake activating position, and located at a brake releasing position when the first motor is energized, characterized in that the active break release device comprises: at least a brake releasing rod, one end of which activates the braking portion to release braking by leverage action force, while the other end of which extending to the outside of the door controller; at least a second motor, provided externally at the door controller and moved together with the other end of the brake releasing rod; a circuit having a backup power source used to temporarily supply electricity to the second motor in case of unexpected electricity failure condition, so that the braking portion being driven to release braking. In this manner, the braking can be automatically released at the first instant of electricity failure so as to close the safety door.

This invention relates to an active brake release device attached to the exterior of a door controller, comprising: a first electromagnet, in which a sliding portion can slide to activate a sliding bar when the electromagnet is energized for magnetic excitation; a first and a second actuator, in which the first actuator is located to abut against the break release bar of the door controller, and a sliding pin of the first actuator is yielding biased in the anti-activation direction of the bar; and, the second actuator is limited by a limit means at a fixed position; a second electromagnet, which is used to release the second actuator when it is energized for magnetic excitation; a circuit, which includes a limit-switch and provides instant power to the first electromagnet during the resetting of the device; and a capacitor, which is used to temporarily supply power to the second electromagnet in unexpected electricity failure. Thus, in the instant of unexpected electricity failure, the device will actively release the brake by mechanical force, and shut off the safety door by sliding down with its own weight.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a type of safety door central release device which can be used to close the safety door automatically when electric power is disrupted. It comprises a cord that is tied to a mechanism having potential energy on one end, and extended to a far distance on the other end; a pair of crank arms of which one end molded as a grip and gripping the cord, and the other end is connected to a sliding bar, having potential energy which assists the grip in release the cord. When electric power is supplied, the sliding bar will be attracted to an electromagnet. As a result, while electric power is disrupted, the release device can immediately release the cord. Due to release of the cord, a brake for a door operator is released by means of the mechanism such that the safety door slides down and then it is closed.
Abstract:
A parking area entrance or exit barrier includes a control system which receives inputs from various accessories associated with the operation of the barrier, and which provides control signals to the various accessories of the barrier. One of the accessories includes a sensor attached to the barrier. The sensor senses an accident event, such as contact between the barrier and a vehicle. Whenever an accident event is sensed, the control system creates an accident event log of information concerning the accident event. The accident event log may include video images of the barrier, a position of the barrier, a movement direction and speed of the barrier, and an approximated speed of the vehicle. The control system may also monitor a performance of the various accessories of the barrier and create a performance log relating to any malfunction of the accessories. The performance of the accessories may also indicate tampering or fraudulent activities concerning the parking barrier, such as an attendant stealing parking fees. The accident event log and/or performance log may be transmitted to a central service facility. Further, the central service facility can remotely change operating parameters of the control system.
