Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems and methods for real-time detection of a very large number of items in a given constrained volume. Specifically, the disclosure relates to systems and methods for retrieving an optimized set of classifiers from a self-updating classifiers' database, configured to selectively and specifically identify products inserted into a cart in real time, from a database comprising a large number of stock-keeping items, whereby the inserted items' captured images serve simultaneously as training dataset, validation dataset and test dataset for the recognition/identification/re-identification of the product.

Abstract: Techniques for providing improved optical character recognition (OCR) for receipts are discussed herein. Some embodiments may provide for a system including one or more servers configured to perform receipt image cleanup, logo identification, and text extraction. The image cleanup may include transforming image data of the receipt by using image parameters values that optimize the logo identification, and performing logo identification using a comparison of the image data with training logos associated with merchants. When a merchant is identified, a second image clean up may be performed by using image parameter values optimized for text extraction. A receipt structure may be used to categorize the extracted text. Improved OCR accuracy is also achieved by applying on format rules of the receipt structure to the extracted text.

Abstract: A computer-implemented tool for automated classification and interpretation of documents, such as life science documents supporting clinical trials, is configured to perform a combination of raw text, document construct, and image analyses to enhance classification accuracy by enabling a more comprehensive machine-based understanding of document content. The combination of analyses provides context for classification by leveraging relative spatial relationships among text and image elements, identifying characteristics and formatting of elements, and extracting additional metadata from the documents as compared to conventional automated classification tools.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to detecting and identifying malicious sites using machine learning. A computing platform may receive image data of a graphical rendering of a resource available at a uniform resource locator (URL). The computing platform may compute a computer vision vector representation of the image data. The computing platform may compare the computer vision vector representation of the image data to stored numeric vectors representing page elements, resulting in a feature indicating whether the computer vision vector representation of the image data is visually similar to a known page element, and may input the feature to a classifier. The computing platform may receive, from the classifier, a phish classification score indicating a likelihood that the URL is malicious. In response to determining that the phish classification score exceeds a first phish classification threshold, the computing platform may cause a cybersecurity server to perform a first action.

Abstract: A display control unit causes a display unit to display a captured image of a product captured by an image capturing unit. A first obtaining unit obtains product information relating to initial setting of the product based on the captured image data. A second obtaining unit obtains a determination result of an installation state of the product based on the captured image data and the product information of the product. A third obtaining unit obtains combined image data expressing a combined image obtained by combining the captured image captured by the image capturing unit and an instruction image of installation work to be performed on the product by a user, depending on the installation state obtained by the second obtaining unit. The display control unit causes the display unit to display the combined image based on the combined image data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to automatically creating customized whiteboard backgrounds. A network system accesses metadata associated with a virtual presentation (e.g., title, topic, tenant identifier). First image data is identified based on first data of the metadata and second image data is identified based on second data of the metadata. Using the first image data and the second image data, the network system generates a plurality of whiteboard backgrounds by combining a first object obtained from the first image data with a second object obtained from the second image data to form each whiteboard background. The network system then causes presentation of a representation of each of the plurality of whiteboard backgrounds on a user interface of a host, who can select one of the representations. In response to receiving a selection, a whiteboard background corresponding to the selected representation is displayed as background on a whiteboard canvas.

Abstract: A cascade auto-review system for automated classification and annotation of input is provided. An example system is structure adaptive and task oriented and includes a communication module configured to receive the input including images, videos, and metadata. The system further includes a plurality of subsystems. Each subsystem has a series of successive classifier stages configured to detect tags in the input and approve or reject the tags based on the images, the videos, and the metadata. The system further includes a database to store results of the classification and annotation. The results are used to train computer vision and machine learning algorithms.

Abstract: This present disclosure proposes a system and method for providing a 3D computer vision-assisted frictionless self-checkout experience in a traditional retail store by using two RGB-D camera sensors and a conveyer belt. The disclosure provides a self-checkout counter (106) that enables a customer (102) to go through a self-service checkout process by simply placing the collected products one by one on a conveyer belt. One vertical and another horizontal RGB-D sensor (108) mounted in a housing frame attached towards the end of the conveyer belt capture RGB and depth image of each product passing through the housing and pass it to a product recognition engine (216). The engine (216) identifies the unique product along with its volumetric attributes processing the RGB-D data that is further compared with a master product database and processed for invoicing. The customer wallet and payment may be integrated with the customer phone number at the self-checkout counter (106) for providing a completely automated checkout experience.
