Abstract: A medium thickness detection device includes: a light emitting element; a constant-current control circuit controlling, in a constant-current manner, the light emitting element to output light passing through a medium for an irradiation time; a light-receiving element receiving the light passing through the medium to obtain an analog signal; a receiver circuit receiving the analog signal; a maximum holding circuit holding a maximum of the analog signal; an analog-to-digital converter circuit reading the maximum of the analog signal and converting the maximum of the analog signal into a digital signal; a reset circuit resetting the maximum holding circuit; and a processor controlling operations of the constant-current control circuit, the reset circuit and the analog-to-digital converter circuit, and determining a thickness of the medium according to the digital signal when a specification of the medium is unknown.

Abstract: A medium passage switching mechanism disposed on a casing of an image forming device, includes a medium tray, a guiding component and a resilient component. An entrance passage, a first exit passage and a second exit passage are formed inside the casing. The medium tray is pivoted to the casing and can pivot between a first position and a second position. The guiding component is pivoted to the casing and can pivot between a third position and a fourth position. The resilient component abuts against the guiding component and the casing. When the medium tray pivots between the first position and the second position, the guiding component can be driven by cooperation of the resilient component and the medium tray to pivot between the third position and the fourth position for guiding a medium to enter into the first exit passage or the second exit passage from the entrance passage.

Abstract: In a document scanning device, a flatbed scanner has a transparent platen for supporting a document, and performs flatbed scanning on the document, a cover operable and closeable relatively to the flatbed scanner is pivotally connected to the flatbed scanner, and a presser assembly is detachably disposed on a lower surface of the cover. The presser assembly has a first pressing plane and a second pressing plane opposite to each other. The cover and the presser assembly respectively have detachable docking structures disposed between the first pressing plane and the second pressing plane, so that a user can detach the presser assembly from the lower surface of the cover, or attach the presser assembly to the lower surface of the cover, and that the first pressing plane and the second pressing plane can directly press the document onto the transparent platen of the flatbed scanner in two different used states.

Abstract: A flip-cover multifunctional image forming device includes a lower body, a first image forming module, a cover body, at least one pivoting mechanism, an upper body and a second image forming module. The first image forming module is disposed inside the lower body. The at least one pivoting mechanism is connected to the lower body and the cover body and for pivoting the cover body relative to the lower body between a folded position and an unfolded position. The upper body is detachably disposed on a side of the cover body away from the lower body. The upper body is driven by the cover body to move relative to the lower body when the cover body pivots relative to the lower body. The second image forming module is disposed inside the upper body. The present invention has advantages of simple structure, easy operation and flexibility in use.

Abstract: A multi-mode scanning device for scanning an original includes a non-transparent element, a first light source, a second light source and an optical module. The first light source outputs visible light to irradiate the non-transparent element and the original to generate first light and second light, respectively. The second light source outputs invisible light to irradiate a combination of the non-transparent element and the original to generate third light and fourth light. The optical module receives the first light, the second light, the third light and the fourth light and generates sensing signals representative of visible light information and invisible light information of the original. The original is disposed between the non-transparent element and the optical module. The first light source and the optical module are disposed on a same side of the non-transparent element.

Abstract: A combination includes a carbon powder replenishing bottle and a carbon powder storage member combined together. The carbon powder replenishing bottle includes: a hollow body storing carbon powder; and a bottle mouth, which is connected to the hollow body and has a stopper portion, wherein the stopper portion restricts a depth, by which the bottle mouth is placed into a carbon powder entrance of the carbon powder storage member, so that the bottle mouth is only partially inserted into the carbon powder entrance to form a hermetic connection with the carbon powder entrance through the stopper portion. The stopper portion is entirely accommodated within an outer housing of the carbon powder storage member, In the carbon powder storage member, a fluid in the housing is discharged through a fluid discharge mechanism when a user performs a refilling operation.
