    Abstract: An X-ray system including an X-ray generator disposed to direct an X-ray beam through an adjustable collimating means and onto the input end of an image intensifier tube, the output end of the intensifier tube being disposed adjacent sensing means for detecting the size of the output image, and control means for actuating the collimating means to adjust the X-ray beam in accordance with electrical signals received from the sensing means.
