    Abstract: There are provided a head chip, a liquid jet head, and a liquid jet recording device each capable of ensuring an electrical reliability, and enhancing the durability. The head chip according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes an actuator plate having ejection channels and non-ejection channels extending in a Z direction and arranged alternately in an X direction, and a nozzle plate which has nozzle holes respectively communicated with the ejection channels, and faces the actuator plate. The non-ejection channels are terminated at positions separated from a lower end surface of the actuator plate. The ejection channels open on a lower end surface of the actuator plate.

A method of manufacturing a head chip according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a substrate preparation step of preparing an actuator plate substrate having a jet channel communicated with a nozzle hole configured to jet ink, and a non-jet channel which does not jet the ink, and a protective film formation step of forming a protective film configured to protect a common electrode formed on an inner surface of the jet channel from the ink in a state in which the jet channel is exposed and the non-jet channel is covered after the substrate preparation step.

    Abstract: The head chip includes an actuator plate having ejection channels and non-ejection channels extending in a Y direction and arranged alternately in an X direction, an intermediate plate overlapped with the actuator plate in a Z direction, and provided with communication holes communicated with the ejection channels and through holes communicated with the non-ejection channels, and a nozzle plate overlapped with the intermediate plate in the Z direction in a state of closing the through holes, and provided with nozzle holes which are communicated with the communication holes, jet liquid contained in the ejection channels, and are formed at positions corresponding to the ejection channels. The non-ejection channels are communicated with an outside of the head chip. The through holes are each disposed at an inner side in the X direction of the inner surfaces extending in the Y direction of the non-ejection channel viewed from the Z direction.

    Abstract: There are provided a liquid jet head and so on capable of enhancing the convenience. The liquid jet head according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a jet section, a plurality of drive boards, at least one drive device, a waveform setting section, a control switch section, an external control line in which first control communication is performed, an internal control line in which second control communication is performed, and a plurality of drive control lines in which third control communication is individually performed. The waveform setting section generates second waveform configuration information for setting the drive waveform based on first waveform configuration information transmitted from the outside of the liquid jet head using the first control communication. The control switch section performs control switch between a transmission control action and a blocking control action when transmitting the second waveform configuration information, which is transmitted from the waveform setting section using the second control communication, to the drive device using the third control communication.

    Abstract: There is provided a head chip and so on capable of achieving the reduction in power consumption and the improvement in print image quality while suppressing the manufacturing cost of the head chip. The head chip according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an actuator plate having a plurality of ejection grooves and a plurality of electrodes, a nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzle holes, and a cover plate having a wall part, a first through hole, and a second through hole. The plurality of nozzle holes includes a plurality of first nozzle holes arranged so as to be shifted toward the first through hole, and a plurality of second nozzle holes arranged so as to be shifted toward the second through hole. In a first ejection groove communicated with the first nozzle hole, a first cross-sectional area of a part communicated with the first through hole is smaller than a second cross-sectional area of a part communicated with the second through hole. Positions of both ends of the electrode along the extending direction of the ejection grooves are each aligned in the plurality of electrodes along a predetermined direction.

    Abstract: Reduction of the size of the droplet in 1-drop ejection is easily performed. A liquid jet head according to an example of the disclosure includes a nozzle adapted to jet a liquid, a piezoelectric actuator having a pressure chamber communicated with the nozzle and filled with the liquid, and adapted to vary a capacity of the pressure chamber, and a control section adapted to apply a pulse signal to the piezoelectric actuator to thereby expand and contract the capacity of the pressure chamber so as to jet the liquid filling the pressure chamber. The control section applies the pulse signal adapted to expand the capacity in the pressure chamber when jetting 1 drop of the liquid so as to include a first pulse signal having a pulse width one of equal to or shorter than an on-pulse peak, and a second pulse signal disposed with a predetermined time interval from the first pulse signal.
