A bobbin casing assembly for a sewing machine having a driver, a main shaft, and a needle bar. The bobbin casing assembly comprises a bobbin casing and an engaging member protruding outwardly from the bobbin casing, an upper end of the engaging member being disposed below an upper surface of the driver when an angle of rotation of the main shaft is substantially in a range of 5.degree. to 35.degree., wherein the angle of rotation of the main shaft is 0.degree. when the needle bar is at a top dead point.

A half-turn hook for positioning a needle thread loop between a needle and a bobbin at the time of stitching, the half-turn hook comprises a shuttle race body, a rotatable shuttle body, a bobbin and a shuttle race ring. The shuttle race body has a sliding surface on which a needle thread is slid in the beginning of stitching. The shuttle race ring has a cutout formed in its upper portion. In the half-hook, the surface where the shuttle body abuts against the shuttle race body and the end into which the rotating shuttle digs, in the cutout of the shuttle body race ring, is located closer to the rotating shuttle body than the sliding surface of the shuttle race body.

An antenna device for an automobile comprises an electric heating type defogger having heating strips and a bus bar for feeding a current to the heating strips and an antenna conductor having antenna strips arranged to form a pattern, which are fitted on the rear window glass fitted to a rear window opening formed in an automobile, wherein the defogger and the antenna conductor are spaced apart from each other with a predetermined small space in a capacitive coupling relation so a reactance circuit is connected to the defogger to effect anti-resonance between the defogger and the rear window opening of the body of the automobile at the central frequency in terms of logarithmic scale of a broadcast frequency band region; a quality factor value is determined by the inductance of a choke coil in the reactance circuit and the stray capacitance between the defogger and the rear window opening of the body of the automobile so that the ratio of an input impedance to a receiver to the impedance of the antenna conductor viewed from the side of a power feeding terminal becomes 1; and a matching circuit is inserted between the power feeding terminal of the antenna conductor and the receiver so that the sum of the impedance of the antenna conductor viewed from the side of the input terminal of the receiver and the functional part as an antenna in the rear window glass exhibits a little capacitive reactance in a broadcast frequency band region.
Abstract:
A pair of cover half members are attached to each other and to a seat hinge base plate in such a manner as to enclose the base plate. The respective cover halves each snap directly onto the base plate at a single point on their lower sides. At their upper sides the covers snap onto each other. The connection between the covers and the base plate is firm but is still resilient enough to allow sufficient movement between the cover assembly and the base plate in the event that large forces or shocks are applied to the cover. The connection between the cover halves is sufficiently strong that forces acting on the cover halves cannot readily force them apart nor cause them to become detached from the base plate.
Abstract:
Paste which is prepared by any solid concentration and is excellent in terms of handleability, applicability, and storage stability; an electrolyte film or electrode film which is an even and highly flexible coating film formed in a desired thickness from the paste through a few repetitions of an application/drying step; and a polymer transducer which can be industrially and economically produced and shows excellent performance. The paste comprises: a solid polyelectrolyte (A) consisting of a block copolymer containing; a polymer block (a-1) which is represented by chemical formula (1) and a polymer block (a-2) which has substantially no ionic group and is rubbery at room temperature; an organic solvent (B) having a boiling point at 150° C. or higher; and non-dissociable particles (C) which are insoluble in the organic solvent (B) and have a major-axis length of 1-100 μm and an aspect ratio of 5 or less. The polymer transducer comprises an electrolyte film and a pair of electrode films between which the electrolyte film is sandwiched, wherein the electrolyte film or the pair of electrode films has been formed by drying and solidifying the paste into a film shape.

A discharge lamp lighting device having a discharge lamp which has a pair of tungsten-made electrodes each having a protrusion formed at the tip thereof and an electric power feeding device which feeds an alternate current electric power to the discharge lamp, and is characterized in that the power feeding device has a function of switching between a first lighting mode in which a rated electric power is fed to the discharge lamp and a second lighting mode in which a lower electric power than the rated electric power is fed to the discharge lamp to light the discharge lamp, and therefore, can control electric power to be fed to the discharge lamp under such conditions that the average electric power change rate becomes 0.01-2.1 W/s during a mode switching period in which the switching from the first lighting mode into the second lighting mode is carried out.
Abstract:
A first energy ratio A/B of a first alternating current of a steady frequency supplied to a lamp is set to a value C, when the lamp is horizontally placed. A second alternating current of a lower frequency, whose second energy ratio A/B is set to the value C, is inserted. When the lamp is vertically placed, a first energy ratio A′/B′ is set to the value C or a value D, which is smaller than the value C. A second ratio A′/B′ is set to the value D or a value E, which is lower than the value C. A and A′ each represents an energy that flows from a first electrode of a pair of electrodes of the lamp to a second electrode of the pair. B and B′ each represents an energy that flows from the second electrode to the first electrode.
