Abstract:
An electronic device displays a messaging user interface of a messaging application, including a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user, and an application affordance. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects an input that activates the application affordance. In response to detecting the input that activates the application affordance, the device concurrently displays a launch icon for an application store and a plurality of launch icons for interactive applications. The device detects an input that activates the launch icon for the application store; in response to detecting the input that activates the launch icon for the application store: the device ceases to display the messaging user interface, and displays an application store user interface, including display of at least one interactive application available for download to the electronic device. While displaying the application store user interface, the device detects an input that corresponds to a request to download a first interactive application that is not stored in the memory of the electronic device; and, in response to detecting the input that corresponds to the request to download the first interactive application: the device downloads the first interactive application to the memory; replaces display of the application store user interface with display of the messaging user interface; and adds a launch icon that corresponds to the first interactive application to the display of the plurality of launch icons for interactive applications.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a display, a touch-sensitive surface, and one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts: displays an application launching user interface; detects a first touch input that includes detecting a first contact at a location on the touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to a first application icon for launching a first application that is associated with one or more corresponding quick actions; in response to detecting the first touch input, in accordance with a determination that the first touch input meets one or more application-launch criteria, launches the first application; and, in accordance with a determination that the first touch input meets one or more quick-action-display criteria, which include a criterion that is met when the characteristic intensity of the first contact increases above a respective intensity threshold, concurrently displays one or more quick action objects associated with the first application along with the first application icon.
Abstract:
An application launching user interface that includes a plurality of application icons for launching corresponding applications is displayed. A first touch input is detected on a first application icon of the plurality of application icons. The first application icon is for launching a first application that is associated with one or more corresponding quick actions. If the first touch input meets one or more application-launch criteria which require that the first touch input has ended without having met a first input threshold, the first application is launched in response to the first touch input. If the first touch input meets one or more quick-action-display criteria which require that the first touch input meets the first input threshold, one or more quick action objects associated with the first application are concurrently displayed along with the first application icon without launching the first application, in response to the first touch input.
Abstract:
The device displays a messaging user interface on a display, the messaging user interface including a conversation transcript, a plurality of electronic stickers, and a message-input area. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects a first user input while a focus selector is at a first location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to a first electronic sticker in the plurality of electronic stickers. In response, the device places and displays the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript. While the first electronic sticker is displayed in the conversation transcript: the device detects a second user input while a focus selector is at a second location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript. In response, the device changes the position, size, and/or rotation of the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript.
Abstract:
Techniques for processing task items are provided. A task item is electronic data that represents a task to be performed, whether manually or automatically. A task item includes one or more details about its corresponding task, such as a description of the task and a location of the task. Specifically, techniques for generating task items, organizing task items, triggering notifications of task items, and consuming task items are described. In one approach, a task item is generated based on input from a user and context of the input. In another approach, different attributes of task items are used to organize the task items intelligently into multiple lists. In another approach, actions other than the generation of notification are enabled or automatically performed, actions such as emailing, calling, texting, and searching.
Abstract:
Techniques for triggering an action associated with a task items are provided. A task item associated with a triggering criterion is provided. The triggering criterion requires an occurrence of any of a plurality of communication events. The plurality of communication events includes a telephone call. In some implementations, at least two of the plurality of communication events are of different communication types. In some implementations, the different types are telephone calls, emails, and text messages. The occurrence of a first communication event of the plurality of communication events is detected. It is determined the triggering criterion is satisfied. In response to the determining, a notification associated with the task item is caused to be presented to a user of the electronic device.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a display and one or more input devices: displays a first user interface that includes a plurality of user interface objects, wherein a respective user interface object is associated with a corresponding set of menu options; detects a first input that corresponds to a request to display menu options for a first user interface object; in response, and displays menu items in a menu that corresponds to the first user interface object. Displaying the menu includes: if the first user interface object is at a first location in the first user interface, displaying the menu items in a first order; and if the first user interface object is at a second location in the first user interface, displaying the menu items in a second order that is different from the first order.
Abstract:
A computer system receives information snippets from a mobile device. The information snippets are extracted from a simulcast of a data stream of a radio broadcast received on the mobile device. The system identifies content metadata from the information snippets. The content metadata describes one or more features of the radio broadcast. The system selects a radio station from a radio station repository based on attributes of the radio station. One of the selection criteria is that the attributes of the radio station match at least a portion of the content metadata. The system presents a reference to the radio station to the mobile device as a recommendation.
