Abstract: A vehicle seat cushion assembly includes a first foam pad defining a ventilating column disposed therethrough, a topper pad disposed over the first foam pad, and a second foam pad disposed adjacent the first foam pad. The second foam pad and the first foam pad define a flow channel in fluid communication with the ventilating column. A thermally conductive tape includes a thermoelectric device disposed between the first foam pad and the topper pad. The thermoelectric device is disposed near an end of the ventilating column. An air mover moves air from an air intake of the flow channel to an air exhaust of the flow channel.

Abstract: A seating assembly includes a seat and a seatback. The seatback is operably coupled with the seat. A back panel is disposed on a backside of the seat and includes a metal insert. An injection molded polymeric panel is formed around the metal insert. The metal insert is retained by the polymeric panel by a ribbon style mechanical lock. Peripheral attachment features are disposed about an outer perimeter of the back panel for securing the back panel with a frame of the seatback.

Abstract: A seating assembly includes a seat having a seat frame. The seat generally defines a seating surface. A seatback is pivotally coupled with the seat. A carrier is disposed on the seat frame and supports a multi-contour seating component that is adjustable to change a contour of the seating surface. A cushion assembly is disposed over the multi-contour seating component of the seat and is in communication with a climate control system. A spreader plate is disposed below the cushion assembly. The spreader plate is configured to balance load distribution across the seating surface when the multi-contour seating component is activated. The spreader plate includes flex recesses defined in forward and rearward walls of the spreader plate. Lateral flex breaks allow limited flexure of the spreader plate. An inner opening is in communication with the climate control system.

Abstract: A seat assembly includes a seatback frame pivotally coupled to a seat member at a recliner mechanism. A first actuator is supported on the seatback frame, and a second actuator is coupled to the seatback frame having upper and lower portions with an intermediate portion disposed between the upper and lower portions. A first cable interconnects the first actuator with the upper portion of the second actuator, and a second cable interconnects the recliner mechanism with the lower portion of the second actuator. The first actuator actuates movement of the second actuator between at-rest and actuated positions. The second actuator actuates movement of the recliner mechanism between locked and released positions. The first cable travels a first distance when the first actuator is actuated, and the second cable travels a second lesser distance when the first actuator is actuated.
