    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of controlling a display panel. The display panel includes a plurality of subpixels and a plurality of scan lines coupled to the plurality of subpixels. The method includes steps of: scanning a first scan line among the plurality of scan lines to turn on at least one of the plurality of subpixels coupled to the first scan line during a subframe period among a display frame period; and discharging a second scan line among the plurality of scan lines during a non-display period following the subframe period. Wherein, the second scan line is different from the first scan line.

    Abstract: A display apparatus and a method for noise reduction are introduced. The method comprises steps of sensing a first pixel signal being superimposed by noises from a first pixel through a first sensing line in a first phase of a sensing operation and sensing a first noise signal from the first sensing line in a second phase of the sensing operation. The method further comprises steps of sensing a second noise signal from a second sensing line in the first phase of the sensing operation, and sensing a third noise signal from the second sensing line in the second phase of the sensing operation. The method further removes the noises that are superimposed to the first pixel signal according to a difference between the first pixel signal and the first noise signal and a difference between the second noise signal and the third noise signal to generate a denoised sensing value of the first pixel.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an output circuit with electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection in a semiconductor chip of a source driver. The source driver is configured to drive a display panel. The output circuit includes an output buffer, an output pad, a switch and a first resistor. The switch is coupled between the output buffer and the output pad, wherein data voltages for driving the display panel are transmitted from the output buffer to the output pad via the switch. The switch includes a first metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistor, which includes a first terminal coupled to the output pad, a bulk terminal and a gate terminal. The first resistor is coupled between the bulk terminal of the first MOS transistor and a first power supply terminal.

    Abstract: A source driver is configured to drive an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display panel. The source driver includes a sensing circuit and an operational amplifier. The sensing circuit is configured to sense pixel information of an OLED pixel circuit through a sensing line of the OLED display panel. The operational amplifier includes an amplifier circuit and at least one switch circuit. The amplifier circuit includes at least one gain circuit. An input terminal of the amplifier circuit is coupled to an output terminal of the sensing circuit. Each of the at least one switch circuit is coupled between a pair of output terminals of a corresponding one of the at least one gain circuit.

    Abstract: A source driver and a calibration method thereof are provided. The source driver for driving and sensing a display panel of the disclosure includes a sensing circuit, an analog-to-digital converter circuit and a digital arithmetic circuit. The sensing circuit is configured to receive a reference signal through a sensing channel when the source driver is operated in a calibration mode. The analog-to-digital converter circuit is coupled to the sensing circuit, and configured to convert the reference signal to a digital reference signal. The digital arithmetic circuit is coupled to the analog-to-digital converter circuit, and configured to obtain a calibration parameter according to the digital reference signal. The source driver calibrates a sensing path for sensing a display panel according to the calibration parameter when the source driver is operated in a sensing mode.
