Abstract: An aligning device includes a barrel defining an interior space for receiving a spring therein. The barrel has first and second axial ends to which a nozzle aligning member and a sprue aligning member are respectively mounted. The sprue aligning member has a pin inserted into a sprue of a mold for removably fixing the aligning device on the mold. The nozzle aligning member is spring-biased to have a projection thereof in contact with a nozzle of an injection molding apparatus. Thus, by moving the mold and the aligning device with respect to the nozzle until an end of the projection is inserted into the nozzle, an exact alignment between the nozzle and the sprue is accomplished.

Abstract: A locking device for joining first and second mating connectors together comprises a pair of first locking members and a pair of second locking members respectively retained in opposite sides of the first and second connectors. Each first locking member has a globular engaging portion extending beyond the first connector. Each second locking member has a latch extending beyond the second connector which includes an opening and a transverse bar at a free end thereof. The transverse bar defines an inclined surface and has an arcuate construction for facilitating guidance of a corresponding engaging portion of the first locking member into the opening of the latch. The pair of engaging portions of the first locking members is accommodated in the pair of openings of the second locking members, thereby securely engaging the first and second locking members together.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method of arranging a plurality of wires of a cable at proper positions for soldering to corresponding terminals of a connector. An arrangement for preparing wires of a cable suitable for subsequent soldering to terminals of an electrical connector has a soldering head including a pair of bases and a pair of heating plates. Abstract: A cable end connector includes an insulative outer casing defining an interior space therein for accommodating a metallic inner casing securely fixed in the outer casing. An insulative connector body receiving and retaining a number of contact elements therein is received in the outer casing and exposed through an opening defined in a side wall thereof for engaging with a mating connector. The connector has a positioning pin and a bolt extending beyond the side wall for respectively engaging with a plain hole and a screw hole defined in the mating connector thereby securing the cable end connector to the mating connector. A leading end of a cable extends into the outer casing and is electrically connected to the contact elements. The cable is mechanically fixed to the inner casing by permanently deforming the inner casing thereby effectively resisting an external force transmitted through the cable and protecting interior parts of the connector.
