    Abstract: Light guide system includes transparent light guide section that leads light inputted through one end portion, to an output section. The light guide section includes a plurality of partial reflection planes, each inclined at a same angle such that a first end portion is located on the side of the one end portion, with respect to a second end portion, and aligned between a first plane and a second plane parallel to each other. Pitches among the partial reflection planes in a first direction are widened toward another end portion, from the side of the one end portion. From an eye of a viewer, a wide overlapping portion is non-existent between two partial reflection planes adjacent to each other on the side of the another end portion, and a wide gap is non-existent between two partial reflection planes adjacent to each other on the side of the one end portion.

    Abstract: There is provided a display apparatus including a light guide system that includes a light-incident portion including a light-incident curved surface on which image light beams as non-parallel light beams are incident and a light-reflective curved surface which reflects the image light beams such that the image light beams are converted into parallel light beams, and a light guide portion being a portion in which a plurality of partial reflection layers are disposed in parallel. The light guide portion is filled with a parallel light flux emitted from the light-incident portion. The light-incident portion is formed of a first transparent member, the portion in which the partial reflection layers are formed is formed of a second transparent member which is surface-bonded to the first transparent member via a bonding surface, and the bonding surface is inclined in the same direction as that of the partial reflection layer.

    Abstract: A virtual image display apparatus includes a case member that stores a image element and is provided with a first end connected to other members, an optical component holding member with which an optical component guiding image light from the image element is assembled and that is provided with a second end connected to the first end, three or more protruding portions that are provided at one of the first end and the second end, have protrusion shapes, and extend toward the other end, three or more grooves that are provided at the other end, have depression shapes corresponding to the three or more protruding portions, and extend, and adhesive portions that fix the three or more protruding portions to the three or more grooves in a state in which the case member is aligned with the optical component holding member.

    Abstract: A light guide device may be incorporated into a virtual image display apparatus, and functionally includes a light-incident part for entrance of picture lights, a light guide part that guides the picture lights via the light-incident part, and a light-exiting part that outputs the picture lights from the light guide part to a position of an eye.
