Abstract:
An audio system including an audio power amplifier, a transducer electrically connected to the audio power amplifier, an enclosure coupled to the transducer, and a secondary resonant element coupled to the enclosure. An electrical feedback signal representative of the transducer current is negatively fed back to the audio power amplifier to synthesize a positive output impedance.
Abstract:
A single enclosure loudspeaker system projects multi-channel surround sound into a listener's room, and so replaces multiple conventional surround channel loudspeakers. The loudspeaker system includes a pair of opposing multi transducer arrays oriented laterally toward walls or reflecting surfaces (relative to the viewing axis) within the media space. The multi-element arrays are housed in a single self-powered loudspeaker enclosure along with a single (or multiple) low-frequency electro-acoustical drive element(s). In one embodiment of the invention, surround channel program material is pre-processed by an integrated wireless transmission device that performs certain digital signal processing and channel mixing steps in advance of wireless surround signal broadcast to a receiver.
Abstract:
A speaker system includes: a first speaker unit having a predetermined directivity angle in the horizontal direction; and a pair of second speaker units which are disposed opposite to each other with the first speaker unit sandwiched between them when viewed in the vertical direction and which have a directivity angle in the horizontal direction greater than the directivity angle of the first speaker unit, wherein distances from the center of the first speaker unit to the centers of the pair of second speaker units are equal to each other, and the first speaker unit and the pair of second speaker units are disposed so as to face toward the same direction.
Abstract:
The wildlife dislodging device outputs sound signal while a frequency is changed to a different frequency stepwise, and suddenly outputs a sound signal pulse of a high frequency in changing the frequency.
Abstract:
An amplifier circuit for thermoacoustic device includes a peak hold circuit, an add-subtract circuit, and a power amplifier. The peak hold circuit is configured to accept an audio signal and output a peak hold signal. The add-subtract circuit is configured to accept the audio signal and the peak hold signal, and output a modulated signal after a comparison operation of the audio signal and the peak hold signal. The power amplifier is configured to accept the modulated signal, amplify the modulated signal, and output an amplified voltage signal.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to an integrated electro acoustic equipment, characterised by the fact that it uses the parallelepiped case of the main loudspeaker for low frequencies, suitably provided with wheels for easier handling and transportation, as structure to contain all components of the equipment—such as audio mixer, power unit and two satellites for the reproduction of medium and high frequencies—together with electrical connections.
Abstract:
An audio output device that has the configuration of a slat curtain includes a speaker unit provided in each slat. Therefore if the audio output device is used hanging from a window frame, ceiling, on a wall or any other such structure, the audio output device achieves a function of outputting sound while maintaining the functions of a regular slat curtain, such as the adjustment of natural lighting permitted to pass through the slat curtain and the separation of indoor spacer. Thus, a user is able listen to audio output without conscious awareness of the existence of the audio output device.
Abstract:
A portable speaker having at least one driver mounted in a first enclosure and a second enclosure separate from the first enclosure and having pivotally mounted to it the first enclosure. The second enclosure has all electronics, controls and a battery compartment. The first enclosure is moveable relative to the second enclosure between a first configuration and a second configuration, the at least one driver being protected by the second enclosure when the first enclosure is in the first configuration.
Abstract:
A stand system with an integrated electrical plug for portable electronic devices such as speakers and the like includes a housing with a resting surface, the housing having a desired position upon a support surface. A female fitting is operably connected to the housing for conducting electrical signals. A male fitting integrated with a housing stand is further provided, the male fitting adapted to mate with the female fitting and conduct electrical signals. Mating the male fitting with the female fitting causes the housing stand to provide support for the housing, in combination with the resting surface, permitting the housing to maintain the desired position upon the surface, and permitting electrical signals to be conducted between the male fitting and the female fitting. The invention may be used for a variety of portable electronic devices, including, but not limited to, portable speakers, portable digital assistants (PDAs), handheld computers, and portable media players for playback of audio or video in either digital or analog format.
Abstract:
A power management system for a computer system having an audio circuit which generates an audio output signal. An activity detection circuit senses audio signal activity on the analog audio signal. The power management system maintains power to at least the audio circuit when activity is detected on the analog audio circuit by the activity detection circuit. The power management system causes the audio circuit to enter a power conservation mode when no activity is detected by the audio detection circuit on the audio analog signal for a predetermined amount of time.
