Abstract: A pressure vessel has a first end with a first boss, the first boss having a first outer surface. The vessel includes a liner having a second outer surface, a shell disposed over the second outer surface, and a first vent. The first vent is formed onto at least a portion of the first outer surface and at least a portion of the second outer surface. The first vent includes a texture that provides a higher rate of gas flow through the first vent than through a portion of an interface of the liner and shell lacking the texture. In another aspect, a pressure vessel has a first end and a second end, a plurality of first longitudinal vents and a plurality of second longitudinal vents. At least one of first longitudinal vents is circumferentially offset around the pressure vessel from at least one of the second longitudinal vents.

Abstract: A mount is configured for attachment to a neck of a pressure vessel that has a substantially cylindrical body having a diameter. The mount includes a central plate, first and second flanges, first and second vibration isolators, and a retainer. The central plate has a height and width, both of which are approximately equal to or less than the diameter, and an aperture. The first and second flanges are located at opposed first and second sides of the central plate, respectively, are oriented substantially perpendicular to the central plate, and are configured to extend toward the body. The first vibration isolator is configured for attachment to the first flange. The second vibration isolator is configured for attachment to the second flange. The retainer is configured for attachment proximate the aperture and is configured to accept a portion of the neck.

Abstract: A pressure indicator includes a body, a piston, first and second biasing elements, and a rotatable disc. The piston is disposed at least partially in a bore of the body at a first longitudinal axial position relative to the body when pressure of fluid acting on the base is below a threshold pressure. The first biasing element is disposed between a base of the piston and a shoulder of the body, wherein a force of the first biasing element is overcome by pressure of fluid acting on the base at or above the threshold pressure, thereby allowing the piston to move to a second longitudinal axial position. The rotatable disc has a first rotational position when the piston is in the first axial position. The second biasing element is configured to urge the disc to a second rotational position when the piston is in the second axial position.

Abstract: A boss for a pressure vessel has a flange. The flange includes an interior keyway having an inner sidewall and a plurality of bores disposed on the inner sidewall. A pressure vessel includes a main body section and an end section. The end section includes a boss and the boss includes a flange. The flange includes an interior keyway having an inner sidewall and a plurality of bores disposed on the inner sidewall. In another aspect, a pressure vessel includes an outer shell, and inner liner and a boss including a flange with an exterior side and an interior side. The liner is mechanically integrated with the flange via a plurality of anchors, each anchor contacting the flange only on the interior side. A method of forming a pressure vessel includes providing a boss having a flange. The flange has an interior keyway having an inner sidewall and a plurality of bores disposed on the inner sidewall. The method comprises allowing a fluid polymer material to flow into the interior keyway and into the plurality of bores.

Abstract: A boss includes a neck and a flange that extends radially outward from the neck. The neck includes a bore therethrough with a longitudinal axis. The flange includes an exterior surface, an interior surface, and a peripheral surface at a farthest extent from the longitudinal axis. The peripheral surface connects the interior surface and the exterior surface and includes, along any radius of the boss, a first circumferential ridge and a second circumferential ridge, wherein the first circumferential ridge is located closer to the exterior surface than the second circumferential ridge. In another aspect, a pressure vessel includes a boss and a liner. In yet another aspect, a method of assembling a pressure vessel is described, which includes inserting the boss through the aperture of the liner and connecting the boss and liner so that the peripheral surface of the boss mates with the perimeter surface of the liner.

Abstract: A system includes a valve, handle, guide, arm, channel, and projection. The handle is proximate the valve and is configured to open and close the valve. The handle is in a first position when the valve is open and in a second position when the valve is closed. The guide is connected to the handle. The arm is connected to the guide. The channel is located on one of the guide or the arm, the channel having opposed first and second ends. The projection is located on the other of the guide or the arm, the projection configured to be received in the channel. Moving the projection past a location of the first end of the channel pulls the guide and the handle, thereby moving the handle from the first position to the second position. The projection can be moved toward the second end while the handle remains in the second position.
