Abstract: A retainer is disclosed that is configured to receive at least one elongated member in a vehicle. The retainer includes a body and first and second receptacles that are supported by the body. The first receptacle defines a first channel that is configured to receive a first elongated member (e.g., a cable, a wire, a rod, etc.) and includes a first finger that extends towards the second receptacle. The second receptacle defines a second channel that is configured to receive a second elongated member (e.g., a cable, a wire, a rod, etc.) and includes a second finger that extends towards the first receptacle. In certain embodiments, the first finger and the second finger may be formed as discrete structures so as not to interfere with flexure of the first receptacle and the second receptacle during insertion and removal of the first elongated member and the second elongated member.

Abstract: Systems and methods for teaching control button functionality to an occupant of a vehicle are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, a system for teaching control button functionality to an occupant of a vehicle includes a plurality of adjustable vehicle components, an audio device, a plurality of control buttons, and a controller. The audio device is configured to receive an audible trigger from the occupant. The plurality of control buttons are each configured to cause an adjustment of at least one adjustable vehicle component when actuated by the occupant. The controller is programmed to (i) disable the plurality of control buttons upon reception of the audible trigger by the audio device, and (ii) upon actuation of a control button of the plurality of control buttons, cause the audio device to output an audible message relating to the at least one adjustable vehicle component configured to be adjusted by the control button.

Abstract: Systems and methods for adjusting one or more window of a vehicle cabin are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, a system for adjusting one or more window of a vehicle cabin includes at least one noise sensor, a plurality of windows, and a controller. The at least one noise sensor is configured to detect wind noise at one or more location of the vehicle cabin. The plurality of windows are each adjustable between a plurality of configurations to permit differing levels of air flow between the vehicle cabin and an atmosphere outside of the vehicle cabin. The controller is programmed to cause an adjustment of at least one window of the plurality of windows based on feedback from the at least one noise sensor regarding a detected level of wind noise.

Abstract: A method and system for determining risk indicators for intersections. A method includes receiving, by a computing node from intersection proximate sensors at each intersection, intersection data. For each intersection, the method includes determining, by the computing node for each connected vehicle proximate to an intersection, a driver risk score based on driver distraction data from the intersection data for the intersection, determining, by the computing node, a near miss score based on the intersection data for the intersection, and assigning, by the computing node for the intersection, an intersection risk indicator level based on an exponential moving average of intersection risk indicator scores determined from driver risk scores and near miss scores. The method includes providing, by the computing node, intersection risk indicator levels to each connected vehicle to facilitate control decisions by each connected vehicle when approaching intersections.
