    Abstract: This flexible fluid transport pipe includes an inner polymer sheath defining a fluid circulation passage with a central axis; at least one armor layer positioned outside the inner sheath; an inner carcass, positioned in the inner sheath, the inner carcass comprising a first bent tape defining a helical interstice emerging toward the central axis. The pipe includes a helical insert with a T-shaped cross-section comprising a rod inserted in the helical interstice and two wings protruding on either side of the rod to inwardly close off the helical interstice. The helical insert is formed from a second bent tape.

    Abstract: A device includes an upstream section defining a water introduction inlet; an injector for injecting a process fluid into the water introduced into the upstream section; an intermediate section mounted downstream of the injector for receiving the water containing the process fluid; a downstream section for conveying water to the fluid transport pipe being laid. The device also includes a liquid volume compensation reservoir, having a variable receiving volume of water discharged from the fluid transport pipe, a connector to which are connected the intermediate section, the downstream section and the liquid volume compensation reservoir, wherein the inlet cross-section of the compensation reservoir is greater than 40 times the internal cross-section of the intermediate section taken at the connector. This device operates reliably even when the stretch of water is rough.

    Abstract: A system for transferring a fluid between a fixed or floating facility for producing or storing the fluid, and a vessel. The system includes at least one hinged arm arrangement that includes an inner arm hinged at one end to a support structure, so as to pivot in a vertical plane, and an outer arm hinged on the outer end of the inner arm. The hinged arm arrangement further includes a rotary seal having an axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the hinged arm. The rotary seal is disposed at the hinge linking the inner arm to the support structure.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides in at least one embodiment a rotatable keel skirt assembly on a rectangular-shaped keel pontoon. The rectangular-shaped keel pontoon reduces the maximum hull width by a significant percentage compared to a circular-shaped keel pontoon while maintaining the same hull motion performance. The rotatable keel skirt assembly allows the size of the pontoon to define the width of the hull during some fabrication phases of the platform, rather than the additional width of the keel skirt assembly. Thus, the outreach of the crane and other equipment can be effectively used as if the keel skirt assembly was not present. After fabrication, the hull can be moved away from the quayside and the keel skirt assembly can be rotated into position for service. Various systems and methods are disclosed for articulating the keel skirt assembly about the hull.
