Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to messaging user interfaces. The method includes displaying a messaging session between a user of the device and a respective participant in the message session other than the user of the device in a messaging user interface, wherein the respective participant is associated with a user account of the user. While the messaging session is active, the method also includes displaying, on the display, a first credential verification affordance in the messaging user interface. The method further includes detecting one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account. After detecting the one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account, in accordance with a determination that the authentication with the user account was successful, the method further includes providing an indication that the user was successfully authenticated with the user account to the respective participant via the messaging user interface.

Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can provide a map application providing a representation of a physical structure of venues (e.g., shopping centers, airports) identified by the application. The application can provide an inside view of the venue, which is accessible by other applications and programs on the user's device. Thus, whether intended or not, search results that are identified by the map application as having an inside view of the venue are also presented on a graphical user interface along with typical search results from the other applications.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a map application with novel map exploration tools. In some embodiments, the map application executes on a mobile device (e.g., a handheld smartphone, a tablet, etc.) with a touch sensitive screen. The map application of some embodiments has a first display area to display a map of a region, and second and third display areas to display information about items displayed on the map in the first display area. In some embodiments, the second display area slides over the first display area to overlap at least a portion of the first display area. After the second display area slides over the first display area, the third display area in some embodiments slides over the first display area to overlap at least a portion of the first display area. In some embodiments, the second and third display areas slide over the first display area from one side of the first display area. This side is the bottom of the first display area in some embodiments. In some embodiments, the bottom side is expected to be closer to a position for resting the mobile device in a hand of a user than a top side of the first display area. Accordingly, in some embodiments, the second and third display areas slide up from the bottom side of the first display area so that information and/or controls that are provided in these display areas are more accessible for one handed operations (e.g., thumb-based touch operations) of the user as the user hold and interacts with the device with one hand.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for displaying and using avatars. In some embodiments, avatars are used to generate stickers for sending in a content-creation user interface. In some embodiments, avatars are used to generate a representation of a contactable user in a contactable user editing user interface. In some embodiments, a user interface can be used to create and edit an avatar. In some embodiments, a user interface can be used to display an avatar that is responsive to detected changes in pose of a face of a user. In some embodiments, contact information is transmitted or received.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a display, one or more processors, and memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors. The device can receive a request to display a user interface for a live communication session between two or more participants. In response to receiving the request to display the user interface for the live communication session between two or more participants, the device can display a live communication user interface including concurrently displaying a plurality of representations of participants in the live communication session. Moreover, the device can display the plurality of representations of participants in live user interface differently based on the number of participants in the live communication session.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for displaying a map. The method provides a first display area to display a map, and a second display area to overlap a portion of the first display area to display (i) a field to receive a search parameter and (ii) a set of predicted locations to view on the map. The second display area is moveable over the first display area in order to decrease its size to allow a larger portion of the map to be displayed in the first display area, or to increase its size to allow a larger number of predicted locations to be displayed in the second display area. In some embodiments, the second display area overlaps a bottom portion of the first display area. In some embodiments, the method is implemented by a map application that executes on a mobile device. The set of predicted locations displayed in the second display area in some embodiments include addresses harvested from applications executing on the mobile device. Examples of such applications include electronic mail applications, text messaging applications, the map application, ticket applications, restaurant reservation applications, social media applications, real estate applications, etc. The set of predicted locations includes in some embodiments addresses associated with previous destinations traveled to by the mobile device.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a display, one or more processors, and memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors. The device can display a messaging user interface of a messaging application. The device can receive first data indicating that a live communication session that is available to three or more participants is active, and in response to receiving the first data, display a notification indicating that the live communication session is active. While displaying the notification indicating that the live communication session is active, the device can receive second data indicating that the live communication session between the three or more participants is no longer active. In response to receiving the second data, the device can cease to display the notification or update the notification to indicate that the live communication session is no longer active.
