Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions and methods for cancer therapies and diagnostics, including but not limited to, cancer markers. In particular, the present invention provides tumor antigens associated with specific cancers and diagnostic assays for the detection of such antigens and associated autoantibodies as indicative of the presence of specific cancers. The present invention further provides cancer immunotherapy utilizing the tumor antigens of the present invention.
Abstract:
Methods of improving the pressure containment integrity of subterranean well bores are provided. The methods include pumping a fracture sealing composition into the well bore that rapidly converts into a high friction pressure sealing composition which is impermeable, deformable, extremely viscous and does not bond to the faces of fractures. Thereafter, the fracture sealing composition is squeezed into one or more natural fractures or into one or more new fractures formed in the well bore to thereby increase the pressure containment integrity of the well bore. The methods also include the prediction of the expected increase in pressure containment integrity.
Abstract:
Peptides have been identified that bind with high affinity to body surfaces, such as, hair, skin, nails, teeth, gums, and oral cavity surfaces. Diblock and triblock peptide-based body surface coloring reagents formed by coupling a body surface binding peptide to a pigment binding peptide, either directly or through a spacer, are described. The peptide-based body surface coloring reagents may be used in conjunction with pigments to color body surfaces.
Abstract:
A method for initiating uplink signaling proactively by the MBMS UE, comprising steps of: the UE moving to a new cell; listening to information on a MCCH; initiating an uplink signaling according to information on the MCCH; sending a response message to the UE by a RNC, or if no UE moving to the new cell, initiating the uplink signaling proactively by the UE if the information received from the MCCH includes an indication for UE counting; and sending a response message to the UE by the RNC. The UE in URA_PCH mode and IDLE mode can response to the MBMS Notification message sent by the RNC, and can initiate the Cell Update process or the RRC Connection process in order to obtain the MBMS parameters. The RNC sets different contents for the response message according to different reasons of message initiation.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for directly communicating between an accelerator and an instruction sequencer coupled thereto, where the accelerator is a heterogeneous resource with respect to the instruction sequencer. An interface may be used to provide the communication between these resources. Via such a communication mechanism a user-level application may directly communicate with the accelerator without operating system support. Further, the instruction sequencer and the accelerator may perform operations in parallel. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
A first execution time of a first thread executing on a first processing unit of a multiprocessor is determined. A second execution time of a second thread executing on a second processing unit of the multiprocessor is determined, the first and second threads executing in parallel. Power is set to the first and second processing units to effectuate the first and second threads to finish executing at approximately the same time in future executions of the first and second threads. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
Data structure creation, organization and management techniques for data local to user-level threads are provided. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, the invention provides a method for the processing of instructions. A method which comprises analyzing a dynamic execution trace for a program; identifying at least one stream comprising a plurality of basic blocks in the dynamic execution trace; collecting metrics associated with the at least one stream; and optimizing the at least one stream based on the metrics.
Abstract:
Method, apparatus and system embodiments to schedule user-level OS-independent “shreds” without intervention of an operating system. For at least one embodiment, the shred is scheduled for execution by a scheduler routine rather than the operating system. The scheduler routine may receive compiler-generated hints from a compiler. The compiler hints may be generated by the compiler without user-provided pragmas, and may be passed to the scheduler routine via an API-like interface. The interface may include a scheduling hint data structure that is maintained by the compiler. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
Thread-data affinity optimization can be performed by a compiler during the compiling of a computer program to be executed on a cache coherent non-uniform memory access (cc-NUMA) platform. In one embodiment, the present invention includes receiving a program to be compiled. The received program is then compiled in a first pass and executed. During execution, the compiler collects profiling data using a profiling tool. Then, in a second pass, the compiler performs thread-data affinity optimization on the program using the collected profiling data.
