Disclosed herein are a single-stage backlight inverter and a method for driving the same. The single-stage backlight inverter comprises a main oscillator for generating a predetermined triangle-wave oscillation signal, a predetermined clock signal and an inverted clock signal, and an output drive controller responsive to the triangle-wave oscillation signal, clock signal and inverted clock signal from the main oscillator and first and second reference voltages set therein. The second reference voltage has a level set to an intermediate level of the triangle-wave oscillation signal. The output drive controller is adapted to generate a first drive control signal and generate a second drive control signal. The inverter further comprises a first output unit for outputting a pair of first switching signals in response to the first drive control signal, and a second output unit for outputting a pair of second switching signals in response to the second drive control signal.
Abstract:
Golf ball cover and intermediate layers incorporate specified triblock copolymers, a base polymer, and also a polymeric modifier that incorporates an impact modifier, a copolymer or terpolymer having specified functional groups, or mixtures of these. The ball layers provide for good ball characteristics, including feel and controllability, while also providing for superior shear-cut resistance and resistance to cracking. Related methods for making golf ball layers provide for balls having these characteristics.
Abstract:
A method for generating a block-based image histogram from data compressed by JPEG, MPEG-1, and MPEG-2, or uncompressed image data employing block-based linear quantization to generate histograms that include color, brightness, and edge components. The edge histogram, in particular, includes the global edge features, semi-global edge features, and local edge features. The global edge histogram is based on image blocks of the entire image space. The local edge histogram is based on a group of edge blocks. The semi-global edge histogram is based on the horizontally and the vertically grouped image blocks. A method for generating block-based image histogram with color information and brightness information of image data in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention extracts feature information of an image in terms of the block and updates global histogram bins on the basis of the feature information. The method for generating block-based image histogram with color information and brightness information of image data minimizes quantization error by employing linear weight and updates values of histogram bins. The error that occurs at a boundary between bins of the histograms and the linear weight depends on the distance between the histogram bins.
Abstract:
Molds made from a porous metal material allow for superior injection and compression molding of golf ball portions, such as cores, intermediate layers and covers. Use of the porous material in the sections contacting molding material, such as mold sections forming cavities, pins, or runners, allows for production of superior ball portions, with reduced formation of pin marks, knit lines, and other imperfections leading to degradation of the properties of the resulting portions. All or part of the mold can be made from the porous metal. Particular mold apparatus incorporate vacuum and/or compression devices to improve venting and release of the ball portions from the mold. Also, methods for preparing a layer for a golf ball incorporates using a mold made from a porous material and incorporating use of vacuum or pressurizing devices.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an x-ray detector comprises the steps of: preparing an insulating substrate; forming a gate and a pad on the insulating substrate; forming a gate insulating film, an amorphous silicon layer and an etch stopper over the insulating substrate, inclusive of the gate and the pad; simultaneously forming a channel layer, an ohmic contact layer and a source/drain over the gate insulating film, inclusive of the etch stopper, and a common electrode over a proper portion of the gate insulating film; forming a first storage electrode over the gate insulating film, inclusive of the common electrode; forming a protective layer over the entire structure of the insulating substrate on which the source/drain and the first storage electrode have been formed, and subsequently forming a contact hole and via holes over a proper portion of the protective layer; and forming a second storage electrode over the protective layer. By this method, the conventional eight masking steps are reduced to six masking steps, and as a result, simplification of the manufacturing process of the x-ray detector is accomplished, thus resulting in reduction of production costs and enhancement of productivity is accomplished by minimizing the possibility of occurrence of inferior products.
Abstract:
Golf ball compositions for use in ball covers and intermediate layers incorporate a specified block copolymer and are essentially free of ionomeric material. The compositions are outside the scope of those previously considered suitable for use in ball covers and intermediate layers. When used in ball covers, the composition provides for improved ball performance with respect to spin rate, feel, and durability. When used in ball intermediate layers, the composition provides for improved ball performance with respect to spin rate and distance. Also, a method for making a golf ball includes preparing a composition essentially free of ionomeric material including the specified block copolymer, and then incorporating the composition into a golf ball.

A processor coupled to the terminal is configured to checking content mapped to an area at which a touch event is detected and released from the dual touch screen including a first touch sensor and a second touch sensor and to control the content according to the touch event.
Abstract:
A portable device, a photography processing method, and a photography processing system having the same, the method including capturing a photo image; collecting identification (ID) information from neighboring devices; confirming ID information corresponding to the collected ID information; displaying one or more graphical user interface (GUI) elements corresponding to the confirmed identification (ID) information; and transmitting the captured photo image to a device having ID information corresponding to a selected GUI element. Furthermore, the photography processing method tags the identification information of the GUI element selected by the photographer to the captured image, stores the tagged image, performs a photo transmission and a tagging, improves user convenience, data management, and search efficiency, and quickly transmits the photo image of the target person without using additional navigation operations.
