Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for remote patient management and monitoring. The patient is monitored with a wireless sensor system connected to an application executing on a patient user computing device. The system continuously monitors physiological parameters, such as, but not limited to, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse rate, perfusion index, pleth variability index, and/or respiration rate from the photoplethysmograph. The system triggers alarms if the patient physiological data violates thresholds. Care providers review patient data and associated alarm(s) with graphical user interfaces.

Abstract: Techniques for predicting fluid responsiveness or fluid unresponsiveness are described. A processor can determine a first prediction of fluid responsiveness or unresponsiveness based on a plethysmograph variability parameter associated with a plethysmograph waveform, and can determine a second prediction of fluid responsiveness or unresponsiveness based on a fluid responsiveness parameter that is associated with an elevation of one or more limbs of the patient. The processor can determine an overall prediction of fluid responsiveness or unresponsiveness based on the first and/or second predictions. Based on overall prediction, the processor can cause administration of fluids and/or termination of administration of fluids.

Abstract: An overdose of opioids can cause the user to stop breathing, resulting in death. A physiological monitoring system monitors respiration based on oxygen saturation readings from a fingertip pulse oximeter in communication with a smart mobile device and sends opioid monitoring information from the smart mobile device to an opioid overdose monitoring service. The opioid overdose monitoring service notifies a first set of contacts when the opioid monitoring information.

Abstract: A total hemoglobin index system derives total hemoglobin (tHb) index value utilizing a depopulated emitter with an index set of LEDs. A patient fails a tHb index test if tHb measurements are trending down and/or tHb values fall below a predefined index threshold. If a patient fails the tHb index test, a high resolution sensor derives a specific tHb measurement utilizing a high resolution set of LEDs. The number of high resolution set LEDs is greater than the number of index set LEDs.
