Abstract:
A reset method of a conversion element is improved, and the simplification of wiring and the improvement of an open area ratio of the conversion element by means of an image pickup apparatus including a plurality of pixels arranged on an insulating substrate, each of the pixels including a conversion element, a first switching element connected to the conversion element in order to transfer an electric signal obtained by the conversion element, and a second switching element connected to the conversion element in order to reset the conversion element by giving constant potential to the conversion element, wherein the second switching element includes a gate electrode, and a source electrode or a drain electrode, and one of the source electrode and the drain electrode is electrically connected to the gate electrode.
Abstract:
According to a radiation imaging apparatus, any separate AEC sensor need not be prepared. Additionally, the apparatus main body can be made compact. To accomplish this, the radiation imaging apparatus has a first optical conversion element that converts incident radiation into an electrical signal, and generates image information on the basis of the electrical signal output from the first optical conversion element. Below a portion that is aligned to the gap between the first optical conversion elements, a plurality of second optical conversion elements which detect the incident amount of the radiation from the gap are formed. Exposure control for the radiation or control of the optical conversion elements is executed on the basis of the detection result by the second optical conversion element.
Abstract:
A method of forming a resist pattern on a substrate, comprises the steps of: forming a resist film on the substrate, supplying a developing solution onto the resist film, submerging the substrate and the resist film formed thereon in a rinsing liquid kept in a rinsing tank, and applying ultrasonic vibration to the rinsing liquid to rinse the developing solution from the resist film submerged in the rinsing liquid.
Abstract:
A plate member constituting a channel unit of an ink jet recording head has a metal plate which is produced by rolling an etchable material, and a polymer film which is laminated onto one face of the metal plate. The long side is perpendicular to the rolling direction of the metal plate. Warpage which easily occurs in the longitudinal direction is suppressed by the rigidity which is large in a direction perpendicular to the rolling direction.
Abstract:
In order to prevent a decrease of yield due to a discontinuity of a wire or a short between upper and lower metal wires in production of a TFT matrix panel having pixel capacitors and TFTs and produce the TFT panel in a good yield without decrease of an aperture rate of the pixel capacitor portions even with increase in the size of the panel and with micronization of the pixel pattern, ends of bias lines on the opposite side to connection to a common electrode driver for application of bias are electrically connected to each other by a redundant wire.
Abstract:
In a recording/reproduction apparatus, when a rotational-speed-mode setting instruction is received from an I/F unit, a CPU reads out a control procedure from a storage device, controlling other components in accordance with the procedure. As a result, a node switch driving circuit controls field windings of a pulse motor to a switching sequence, driving the pulse motor to rotation at a predetermined rotational speed. Since the control is feedback control, the pulse motor rotates at the predetermined rotational speed specified by an instruction setting a rotational-speed mode with a high degree of reliability. Data can thus be recorded into and reproduced from a magnetic disk at a variable speed.
Abstract:
A planigraphic X-ray apparatus comprising a rotation mechanism for rotating a support member which supports an X-ray generator and an X-ray detection surface to rotate the X-ray generator and the X-ray detection surface around a subject, a position adjustment mechanism for setting the position of the rotation center of the support member rotated by the rotation mechanism and a linear movement means for moving the support member in the direction approximately perpendicular to the direction of the X-ray irradiated from the X-ray generator, whereby the X-ray detection surface is driven in the direction opposite to the movement of the linear movement means and the X-ray generator is rotated toward the X-ray detection surface in synchronization with the movement of the linear movement means. The position adjustment mechanism and the rotation mechanism are used only to set the position and direction of the support member with respect to the subject, and planigraphic photographing is possible only by moving the support member using a linear movement means exclusively provided for the support member, thereby facilitating the positioning operation of the support member with respect to a given planigraphic plane, simplifying the control program and making the entire apparatus compact and inexpensive.
Abstract:
According to this invention, in a semiconductor laser, an n-type InGaAlP cladding layer, an InGaP active layer, and a p-type InGaAlP cladding layer are sequentially grown on an n-type GaAs substrate to form a double hetero structure. The active layer is constituted by an ordered structure having regularity in the directions, and the p-type cladding layer is constituted by a disordered structure. Band discontinuity in conduction band between the active layer and the p-type cladding layer is increased to improve the temperature characteristics of the laser.

An electronic clinical thermometer with a liquid crystal display housed in a soft flexible casing with a frame. The casing has an opening for viewing the liquid crystal display. An upper cover covers this opening, a lower cover covers an opening in the lower side of the casing, and ribs oriented parallel to axes of the respective openings establish a water-tight seal and secure the upper and lower covers to the casing.
Abstract:
A catalyst in the form of a honeycomb structured cordierite carrier having platinum supported in a loading weight of at least 0.20 mg per square centimeter of the apparent outer surface area of the catalyst is effective in a process for oxidizing CO in exhaust gas from a sintering furance wherein it maintains high CO oxidiation efficiency for a longer period of time, requiring less frequently regeneration and less power consumption.
