Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication that indicates whether a common search space (CSS) is associated with a first type of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a second type of PDCCH. The first type of PDCCH may correspond to a cell-broadcast PDCCH and the second type of PDCCH may correspond to a UE-specific PDCCH. The CSS may be for downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check scrambled by a group radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) that schedules a multicast and broadcast service (MBS). The UE may receive, from the base station, the first type of PDCCH or the second type of PDCCH. Numerous other aspects are described.

In some examples, the UE may monitor a set of resources within a control resource set for a downlink control channel, where the set of resources for the downlink control channel is based on an output of the PRF. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein relate to transmission of a multicast message via a common frequency resource (CFR) in a full duplex slot. The CFR may be positioned within the downlink bandwidth parts (BWP)s configured for a group of user equipments (UE)s such that each UE in the group may monitor for and receive the multicast message. The network may indicate the frequency position of the CFR to the group of UEs. The frequency resources (e.g., the resource blocks) configured for downlink for a UE may be different between half duplex slots and full duplex slots. The network and the UE may determine the active CFR for a full duplex slot based on the resources configured for the full duplex slot. The UE may monitor for and receive a multicast transmission in the active CFR in the full duplex slot.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may selectively determine to decode a downlink shared channel multicast transmission based on whether the downlink shared channel includes a retransmission of an initial multicast transmission. A base station may transmit a message in a downlink control channel to indicate if the downlink shared channel is carrying the retransmission of the initial multicast transmission. For example, the base station may transmit a group random network temporary identifier, downlink control information with a retransmission indicator bit, or both to indicate if the downlink shared channel is carrying the retransmission. In some cases, the message in the downlink control channel may be received at a layer one (L1) of the UE, and the downlink shared channel transmission may be decoded at L1 of the UE and sent to a layer two (L2) of the UE for processing.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may transmit a random access message (e.g., a message 3) associated with a random access procedure. A hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback may be disabled for the random access procedure. The UE may initiate a contention resolution window associated with the random access procedure for a first downlink data channel transmission of a set of downlink data channel transmissions associated with the random access procedure. The UE may receive, during the contention resolution window, the first downlink data channel transmission carrying a contention resolution medium access control-control element (MAC-CE). The UE may transmit acknowledgment information for the first downlink data channel transmission carrying the contention resolution MAC-CE based on an indication to enable the HARQ feedback.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for flexible resource allocation. In one aspect, a base station can generate a narrowband data channel including a plurality of resource blocks (RBs). The base station may shift a position of the RBs of the narrowband data channel to align with a wideband resource block group (RBG) boundary. The base station can also adjust a precoding resource block group (PRG) for the narrowband data channel. Also, the base station can transmit the narrowband data channel to a User Equipment (UE) based on adjusting the PRG. In another aspect, the base station may align a beginning or last RB of the plurality of RBs with the wideband RBG boundary and/or align a beginning or last RB of the PRG with the wideband RBG boundary. In another aspect, the base station may transmit an indication to the UE indicating a flexible resource allocation.
