Abstract: A method for monitoring the patient's teeth positioning, including the following steps: a) less than three months after the start of an orthodontic treatment, producing an initial reference model of the patient's arches, and, for each tooth, defining, from initial reference model, a tooth model; b) acquiring at least one updated image of the arches, under actual acquisition conditions; c) analyzing each updated image and producing an updated map relative to a piece of discriminating information; d) optionally determining rough virtual acquisition conditions that approximate the actual acquisition conditions; e) searching each updated image for a final reference model corresponding to the teeth's position during the updated image's acquisition, and; f) for each tooth model, comparing the tooth model's positions in the initial reference model and in reference model obtained at the end of the preceding steps, in order to determine movement of the teeth between steps a) and b).

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for adapting an orthodontic apparatus intended for a patient, said system comprising the following steps: -a) determining, at a parameterisation time, by a first dental healthcare professional and specifically for said patient, conditions for communicating updated information relating to the configuration of the patient's dentition; -b) acquiring, at an updated time subsequent to the parameterisation time, by means of an acquisition device and by the patient or an acquaintance of the patient, an extraoral depiction of at least one portion of the patient's dental arches, referred to as an “updated depiction”, said updated depiction consisting of a set of images and/or of a three-dimensional digital model; -c) analysing said updated depiction, so as to determine information regarding said dentition configuration at the updated time, or “updated information”, the updated information consisting of a set of information elements, each expressing a status for a relevant treatment aim in light of the updated depiction; -d) communicating the updated information to at least one second dental healthcare professional under the conditions determined in step a); -e) adapting said orthodontic apparatus on the basis of the updated information communicated in step d).

Abstract: A method for evaluating, by computer, at an “updated” time, the conformity of an orthodontic aligner with a dental arch of a patient, referred to as the “support arch.” The method includes the following successive steps: A) producing a digital three-dimensional model of the support arch in its configuration at the updated time, or an “updated reference model”, and determining from the updated reference model, a support surface for the aligner; B) deforming the support surface on the basis of the geometry of the aligner in order to obtain a deformed support surface; C) comparing an external surface of the aligner with the deformed support surface, then determining, on the basis of the comparison, at least one score for the conformity of the aligner with the support arch.

Acquiring at least one updated image. Each updated image representing an active aligner attached, in an operating position, to a dental arch, or ‘image with aligner’, or representing the dental arch without an aligner, or ‘image of uncovered teeth’.
Searching in an updated image, referred to as the ‘updated analysis image’, for representations of teeth that are non-compliant with the treatment scenario.
If one or more non-compliant teeth are identified, determining, depending on the updated time, one of an intermediate models, or ‘active intermediate model’, then identifying one or more models of teeth representing the noncompliant tooth or teeth, respectively, in the active intermediate model.
Deforming the active intermediate model until an updated model is obtained that is compatible with at least one of the updated images.-

Abstract: Method of enrichment of a reference model to be enriched representing a dental arch. Acquisition, under first real conditions, of a current image of the arch displaying one region. Exploration of the reference model in such a manner as to determine a first view of the reference model, in a first direction of observation the reference image exhibiting a maximum match with the current image. Determination, by comparison of the images, of a first orphan point represented on the current image and not represented on the reference image when the current image is in a first register position in which it is superposed, in the space of the reference model, with the reference image. Addition, in the reference model, of a point on a first straight line parallel to the first direction of observation and passing through the first orphan point in the first register position.
