Abstract:
The ceramic tiled floor includes tiles provided along at least one edge with grooves, and tongued strips, complementary to the grooves adapted to connect adjacent tiles, so as to give the entire floor stability and planarity.
Abstract:
The invention is a system based on adaptors and replacement panel design that allows replacement of a panel that is surrounded by other panels in an interlocking floor system. Since the panel to be replaced is surrounded by panels that cannot be disturbed, only vertical motion is available to allow the replacement panel to be positioned into the space. One side of the adaptors of the invention mates to the surrounding panels in a standard manner. The other side of the adaptors provides an interface that allows vertical interlocking of the new replacement panel. The replacement panel of the intervention provides interfaces along its edges that allow vertical mating with the adaptors' vertical interlocking mechanism.
Abstract:
A subfloor component includes an insulating foam panel having first and second opposing faces and a plurality of intersecting grooves to define, in cross-section, a plurality of pedestals having walls that extend into the panel from the first face toward the second face. The subfloor component also includes a moisture-resistant film attached to the first face of the panel and that conforms to the pedestals, and a hardboard layer on the second face of the panel. Methods of manufacturing subfloor components are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A floor panel and a floating floor system include a top surface and a bottom surface. The top surface has a visible decorative pattern and the bottom surface has a recess which extends about the periphery of the bottom surface. The recess has a recess surface. The floor panel includes a joining member with a top surface and a bottom surface. The top surface of the joining member is adhered to the recess surface of the recess. The bottom surface of the joining member and the bottom surface of the floor panel are essentially flush which each other. The use of the joining member does not create any imprints on the top surface of the floor panel.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fixing construction for terrace floors with the following features: support beams (1) and bearing beams (2), wherein the bearing beams (2) are fixed to the support beams (1) by means of fixing elements (3) and the fixing elements (3) each comprise a pair of rectangular plastic plates (3a, 3b), each plate having a thickness (d) and a swelling (4).Said particular embodiment of the plastic plates and the alternating fixing thereof to the bearing beams gives a plug connection which is also fixed to the support beams.
Abstract:
A fastening member and a magazine configured to deliver each of a plurality of the fastening members into a groove in a decking member. The fastening member includes a generally planar first surface, a generally planar second surface generally parallel to the first surface and at least one side generally perpendicular to the first surface and the second surface and circumscribing at least a portion of the first surface and the second surface, wherein the fastening member is configured to be positioned at least partially in a groove in a first decking member and the fastening member is configured to provide a nominal spacing between the first decking member and the adjacent decking member; and an expansion feature configured to accommodate expansion of an adjacent decking member adjacent the first decking member.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic laminate plank is described wherein the thermoplastic laminate plank comprises a core, a print layer, and optionally an overlay. The core comprises at least one thermoplastic material and has a top surface and bottom surface wherein a print layer is affixed to the top surface of the core and an overlay layer is affixed to the top surface of the print layer. Optionally, an underlay layer can be located and affixed between the bottom surface of the print layer and the top surface of the core. In addition, a method of making the thermoplastic laminate plank is further described which involves extruding at least one thermoplastic material into the shape of the core and affixing a laminate on the core, wherein the laminate comprises an overlay affixed to the top surface of the print layer and optionally an underlay layer affixed to the bottom surface of the print layer.
Abstract:
A fibre reinforced cement flooring sheet (1) that is suitable for use in wet area flooring, is lower in density than conventional compressed fibre cement wet area flooring, and is nailable. The flooring sheet (1) includes connecting means (2) on longitudinal edges permitting the sheet to be interlockingly engaged with adjacent sheets to form a substantially coplanar support surface, suitable for use in wet areas.
Abstract:
A panelling system preferably for floors is defined by a series of panels each formed of a plurality of tongue and groove main floor plank strips arranged side edge to side edge and cut to a common length with a tongue along one cut edge and a groove along the other. At the edges are attached edge strips formed also from the flooring planks with tongue and groove and fastened together to form a common panel member for transportation and installation. The outwardly facing edge of each edge has a tongue or groove for mating with a groove or tongue of a next adjacent panel. The strips are fastened by a corrugated fastening plate bridging the junction or by pins from the rear or by a bonded sheet material on the rear.
