Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an in-line surface drain. The in-line surface drain may comprise a cylindrical frame and a plurality of concentric rings coupled to the cylindrical frame. The plurality of concentric rings may be configured to protrude outward from a bottom external surface of the cylindrical frame, and the diameters of the plurality of concentric rings may be different. At least one of the plurality of concentric rings may be configured to detachably accommodate a riser pipe.

Abstract: A method for installing a liquid quality system into a containment structure, wherein the liquid quality system includes a liquid quality device and at least one drag-inducing assembly, wherein the at least one drag-inducing assembly includes at least one supporting portion and at least one drag-inducing portion, wherein when the liquid quality device is installed a sump region is formed below, is provided. The method may include mounting, at least partially in the sump region, the at least one supporting portion onto a sidewall of the containment structure. The method may also include attaching the at least one drag-inducing portion to the at least one supporting portion. The method may also include mounting the liquid quality device in the containment structure.

Abstract: A filtration device comprising a media basket, a baseplate, and a canister. The media basket is affixed to the baseplate. The canister has a cavity therein and is detachably coupled with the baseplate to enclose the media basket. The media basket contains a porous filtration material that efficiently removes contaminants from liquid. The device is configured to establish a first siphon to convey liquid from outside the device into the canister cavity through a canister pipe when a liquid level outside the filtration device is higher than the top of the weir in the canister pipe and configured to establish a second siphon to convey liquid from canister cavity through the top of a center riser pipe and out an outlet pipe when the first siphon has been established and the liquid level outside the filtration device is higher than the top of the center riser pipe.

Abstract: Stormwater management systems, methods, and apparatuses for containing and filtering runoff may be provided. In one implementation, a flared end ramp for managing flow of material into a stormwater chamber may be provided. The flared end ramp may include an inlet end configured for connection with a pipe, a side wall of the flared end ramp having a rounded profile at the inlet end; an outlet end configured for placement within the stormwater chamber; and an inclined surface extending between the inlet end and the outlet end of the flared end ramp and configured to deliver material from the pipe into the stormwater chamber. The outlet end of the flared end ramp may have a larger width than the inlet end of the flared end ramp such that the inclined surface is angled laterally outward from the inlet end toward the outlet end.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method of applying an outer wrap to a corrugated pipe. The method comprises receiving a corrugated pipe that is cut to length, determining a wrap type to be applied to the corrugated pipe, determining a flow rate for applying a wrap of the wrap type based on a type of plastic used in the wrap, a type of fiber used in the wrap, and the wrap type, and applying a wrap made of the type of fiber and the type of plastic to the corrugated pipe using the determined flow rate.

Abstract: A liquid quality system for removing particulates from liquid (e.g., storm-water runoff). The system can include tubular portion (e.g., a manhole). The tubular portion has an inlet and an outlet. The system includes liquid quality device. The liquid quality device includes a partitioning portion. The partitioning portion has a first region including a funnel shape with a sump inlet aperture. The partitioning portion also has a second region including a sump outlet aperture and optionally a sump access aperture. A sump region is located between a base portion and the partitioning portion, wherein a flow of the liquid travels from the inlet in the tubular portion, into the funnel, through the sump inlet aperture, into the sump region, through the sump outlet aperture, and out the outlet of the tubular portion. At least one drag-inducing portion is positioned proximate the tubular portion in the sump region and projecting inwardly towards a central axis of the sump region.

Abstract: A method of welding a gasket to a spigot portion of a pipe section is described. The method includes supporting the gasket in a recess on the spigot portion of the pipe section. The gasket includes a seating portion and a sealing portion. The sealing portion includes a first shoulder portion and a second shoulder portion. A first bonding portion extends from the first shoulder portion and a second bonding portion extends from the second shoulder portion. The first bonding portion and the second bonding portion are provided to bond the gasket to the spigot portion. The method further includes heating a portion of the gasket and an adjacent surface of the spigot portion and applying a force onto the portion of the gasket following the application of heat to fuse the gasket onto the spigot portion.
