A mounting bracket for a junction box includes a face plate, a first leg extending from the face plate, a second leg extending from the face plate, and a leg connector extending between and interconnecting the first and second legs.
Abstract:
An epoxy resin composition is disclosed for joining dissimilar materials. The identified epoxy resin compositions can fee used to seal metallic and non-metallic components of a capacitor. Specifically the epoxy resin composition can be applied to joints between a non-metallic capacitor bushing and a metallic tank cover and metallic terminal cap. Once the epoxy resin composition is cored, it can provide a seal that can withstand the stresses and environmental conditions to which a capacitor is subjected.
Abstract:
A protection device for connection to a power bus of an electrical power system includes a bidirectional clamping apparatus configured to conduct current when a voltage across the bidirectional clamping apparatus is more positive than a positive voltage standoff and when the voltage across the bidirectional clamping apparatus is more negative than a negative voltage standoff; and a control element in series with the bidirectional clamping apparatus, the control element and the bidirectional clamping apparatus providing a current path across the power bus when a magnitude of a voltage on the power bus exceeds a positive voltage threshold or a negative voltage threshold, the positive voltage threshold being greater than the positive voltage standoff of the bidirectional clamping apparatus and the negative voltage threshold being more negative than the negative voltage standoff of the bidirectional clamping device.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides techniques for a self-commissioning and locating lighting system. The system includes a group of light fixtures, each emitting a unique optical data signal. A remote control device detects the unique optical data signal from the light fixtures when the light fixture is within a visual field of the remote control device. A central controller receives a signal from the remote control device, wherein the signal comprises data regarding the GPS location of the remote control device and the digital identities of the light fixture within the visual field of the remote control, wherein the signal further comprises a control command for operation of the light fixtures, and wherein the central controller sends a control signal to the light fixture implementing the control command.
Abstract:
A surface mount power inductor includes a preformed conductive winding clip and first and second-shaped core pieces. The core pieces may be configured to reduce unbalanced force experienced in the power inductor in certain types of power management circuitry. Reduction in the unbalanced force reduces vibration of the power inductor in use, and in turn reduces acoustic noise as the power inductor operates.
Abstract:
A conduit clamp includes a first coupling component configured for attachment to a first attachment structure of a strut channel and a second coupling component different from the first coupling component and configured for attachment to a second attachment structure of a strut channel.
Abstract:
A current-limiting fuse for use at voltages between 23 kilovolts (kV) and 38 kV includes a body including a sidewall that at least partially defines an interior space; a fuse element in the interior space of the body, the fuse element wrapped around a non-conductive core and connected to first and second electrically conductive plates; and a non-bound particulate material in the interior space of the body, the non-bound particulate material including a plurality of pieces of the material with voids between at least some of the pieces. A fuse holder for use at voltages between 23 kV and 38 kV includes a housing for insertion in a sidewall of a transformer. The housing includes an exterior surface that defines an interior region. A fuse assembly is received in the interior region of the housing, the fuse assembly being configured to be replaced without opening the tank of the transformer.
Abstract:
A linear light fixture is provided which includes a housing body onto which a bezel is attached. Semiconductor LEDs or other light emitting source that produce light when electrically powered are located behind a lens that is secured to the housing body by the bezel. One or more incandescent light bulbs that include an electric filament that produce light when electrified as well as one or more fluorescent bulbs that produce light based at least in part on the electrification and illumination of a plasma or gas can also be used as a source of illumination. For example, the linear light fixture can further include a driver housing that includes a driver housing cover to permit access to at least one driver and/or battery backup components located within the driver housing. There is also at least one window in the bezel which permits illumination of an area or object.
Abstract:
An imaging sensor determines an influence of artificial light from one or more artificial light sources and an influence of natural light in an area associated with a lighting system. On the basis of the influence of the natural light and the influence of the artificial light, the imaging sensor determines the location of the one or more artificial light sources with respect to the location of the imaging sensor. Further, the imaging sensor allocates a portion of the area as an area of influence of the imaging sensor based on a threshold change in luminescence of the area associated with switching on or switching off of the one or more artificial light sources. Responsively, the imaging sensor associates at least one artificial light source of the one or more light sources and occupancy sensors corresponding to the at least one artificial light source with the allocated area of influence.
