Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for driving the light source of a projector are provided. The apparatus includes an adjustment unit, a lamp driver, a phase lock loop (PLL) and a mercury lamp. The adjustment unit provides an enabling signal and regulates the frequency of the enabling signal according to an indication signal. The lamp driver provides a driving signal according to the enabling signal and an input voltage, wherein the frequency of the driving signal is varied with the frequency of the enabling signal. The PLL provides a synchronized driving signal according to the driving signal and a vertical synchronization signal, wherein the synchronized driving signal is phase-synchronous with the frame field of the projector. The mercury lamp serves as the light source of the projector according to the synchronized driving signal.

As such, the resulting electrotherapy device is non-injurious and capable of human body strengthening and health care maintenance.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a semiconductor device which do not form parasitic transistors in device isolation regions and is capable of narrowing device-to-device intervals, and a method of manufacturing the semiconductor device. The method includes a step for anisotropically etching spots that serve as active regions of a sapphire substrate and causing their ends to become substantially normal to the surface of the sapphire substrate, a step for forming a silicon layer so as to be thicker than an etching depth, a step for implanting silicon ions to amorphize the silicon layer, a step for performing annealing and thereby recrystallizing the amorphized silicon layer, and a step for planarizing the recrystallized silicon layer until the sapphire substrate is exposed, thereby to leave the silicon layer that serves as each of the active regions, whereby device-to-device isolation regions can be formed normal to the sapphire substrate.
Abstract:
Enzymes of a particular class, characterized by the ability to cleave a linkage that effects release of a cell-surface protein or carbohydrate, which does not contain an anti-infection agent, display significant anti-infectious activity. Upon oral administration, these enzymes are effective, for example, in the treatment of digestive tract infections in humans and in animals. In the latter, there are benefits of significantly improved growth rate, feed efficiency, and overall health.
Abstract:
Novel DNA constructs and host cells comprising the same are disclosed. DNA constructs comprise a transcription unit (e.g. operon) comprising DNA sequences encoding for ribonucleotide reductase and thioredoxin or a uridine kinase gene and/or a dCTP deaminase gene. In preferred embodiments the constructs comprising DNA sequences encoding for ribonucleotide reductase and thioredoxin further comprise DNA sequences encoding for thymidylate synthase and/or transcription units comprising sequences encoding for uridine kinase preferably together with dCTP deaminase. In particularly preferred embodiments, the host cells comprise constructs having all of the above characteristics wherein the host cell displays repressed or no uracil DNA glycosylase activity. This may be achieved by removal of the host cell ung gene. Use of host cells in the manufacture of pyrimidine deoxyribonucleotides e.g. thymidine is also disclosed.
Abstract:
In order to achieve a method for analyzing the compositional distribution of deposited film adhering to the internal surface of a contact hole having a diameter in the deep submicron order, primary ions 18 are radiated into the surface 12a of an insulating film 12 where the contact hole 14 is formed to generate secondary ions 20. The primary ions are radiated into the surface of the insulating film from a constant diagonal direction. Then, mass spectrometry is performed on the resulting secondary ions to detect the compositional distribution of the deposited film 16 formed at the internal surface of the contact hole. Thus, the compositional distribution of the deposited film is ascertained over the depth-wise direction of the contact hole.
Abstract:
A data storage device located at a first location stores data representing plural images of a dynamic video image stream. A host processor located at a second location stores a program file representing a search algorithm for searching for a desired image among the images represented by the data stored at the first location. The program file representing the search algorithm is downloaded from the host processor to the data storage device. The downloaded program file is used to search for the desired image in the video data stored in the data storage device at the first location.
Abstract:
A data display system and method that provides for creation of multidimensional data displays in which the dimensions have one or more dimension elements and the display has display cells at dimension element intersections. Provisions are made for allowing rearrangement of display dimensions, reordering of display elements, and sorting within any dimension along with the maintenance of topological formulas during insertions, deletions, sorting and rearrangements. Further included is provision for support of both symmetrical and asymmetrical multidimensional spreadsheets.
Abstract:
A bicycle carrier contains: a fixing device, a rotation device, a control device, and a holder. The fixing device includes a connection rod and a positioning seat. The positioning seat has a longitudinal receiving orifice and a lateral receiving orifice. The rotation device includes a casing, a grip, and a grasp space. The control device includes an actuation post, a pull lever, a spring, and an insertion portion. The pull lever has a joining portion and an extension. When the extension is pulled by an external force, the insertion portion removes from the longitudinal receiving orifice and the lateral receiving orifice so that the rotation device is forced to rotate between a horizontal fixing position and a horizontal fixing position reciprocately. When the external force to the extension disappears, the rotation device is located on the vertical fixing position, and the insertion portion is received in the vertical receiving orifice.
