    Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a camera disposed at a vehicle and viewing exterior of the vehicle. The vehicular vision system, responsive to detecting an object present exterior of the vehicle via processing of image data captured by the camera, determines location of the detected object relative to the vehicle. The vehicular vision system displays video images derived from the captured image data on a video display. The vehicular vision system generates a three-dimensional (3D) icon that includes a front face and a rear face opposing the front face with a length dimension between the faces. The 3D icon overlays the detected object and the front face faces toward a representation of the vehicle. Responsive to a chance in location of the object relative to the vehicle, the system adjusts the length dimension.

    Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a forward-viewing camera and an electronic control unit (ECU). The forward-viewing camera views forward of the vehicle through the windshield of the vehicle. The forward-viewing camera is operable to capture image data. The forward-viewing camera is connected with the ECU via a first connecting cable. The first connecting cable (i) carries image data captured by the forward-viewing camera from the camera to the ECU, (ii) carries camera control data from the ECU to the forward-viewing camera and (iii) connects a DC power supply of the ECU to the forward-viewing camera for powering the camera. The camera control data is carried by the cable from the ECU to the camera at a control data carrier frequency that is lower than an image data carrier frequency at which image data captured by the camera is carried by the cable from the camera to the ECU.

    Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and operable to capture image data and an image processor for processing image data captured by the camera. The vehicle has a tailgate that is pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis and movable along a downward swing path from a closed position toward an opened position. Image data captured by the camera is processed by the image processor to detect presence of an object in a field of view of the camera. The system, responsive to detection of the object, determines location of the object relative to the downward swing path of the tailgate. The system, responsive to determination that the object is located within the downward swing path of the tailgate between the closed position and the opened position, limits movement of the tailgate of the vehicle toward the opened position.

    Abstract: A vehicular safety system includes a rearward-viewing camera, a forward-viewing camera and an interior-viewing camera configured to be disposed at a vehicle. Image data captured by the forward-viewing camera is processed for (i) headlamp control, (ii) lane departure warning and/or (iii) object detection. Image data captured by the interior-viewing camera is processed for internal cabin surveillance. Responsive at least in part to processing of image data captured by at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) the rearward-viewing camera, (ii) the forward-viewing camera and (iii) the interior-viewing camera, and when reverse gear of the vehicle is not engaged, and responsive to determination of a potential collision involving the vehicle, a safety feature of the vehicle is triggered before actual collision occurs. If actual collision does not occur, the triggered safety feature returns to its condition that existed prior to determination of the potential collision.

    Abstract: A method for detecting objects via a vehicular radar sensing system includes equipping a vehicle with a vehicular radar sensing system, the vehicular radar sensing system including a radar sensor. An analog input signal derived from received radio signals is converted, via a first ADC, into a first number of bits M. The first number of bits M is converted, via a DAC, into a first analog signal. A second analog signal is determined by subtracting, via a subtractor, the first analog signal from the analog input signal. The second analog signal is converted, via a second ADC, into a second number of bits K. A total number of bits N is established by concatenating the first number of bits M to the second number of bits K. A processor processes the total number of bits N to detect the object that the received radio signals are reflected from.
