Abstract: Provided are a thin film transistor and an organic electrolumienscent display including the same. The organic electroluminescent display includes: a gate electrode; source and drain electrodes that are insulated from the gate electrode; an organic semiconductor layer that is insulated from the gate electrode and electrically connected to the source and drain electrodes; an insulating layer that insulates the gate electrode from the source and drain electrodes or the organic semiconductor layer; and an electron withdrawing layer composed of a Lewis acid compound formed between the source and drain electrodes and the organic semiconductor layer. Charges can easily accumulate so that a channel doping effect occurs in the semiconductor layer, thus preventing the formation of an energy barrier and increasing the number of carriers that are injected into a channel. As a result, a TFT having a low contact resistance, an large number of injected carriers, and good charge mobility can be obtained. A flat panel display including the TFT is reliable and has low power consumption.

Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for setting and adjusting a print location for printing by a printer, by which the information about the print location where a print will start is set by the user as an option and a printer is controlled such that an image or text, etc. to be printed is printed out at a desired position on a paper, is provided. Printing is executed by first setting the print location for printing by a printer set directly by the user and then determining a print starting location considering the set print location information and margin information related to a document. Thus, a document having the same margins can be printed for various applications. Furthermore, a desired portion of text or image data, for example, can be printed out at a designated position on a printing paper by scaling up or down a document.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for obtaining data for diagnosing the condition of a living body without harming living tissue using an ultrahigh frequency (UHF) signal includes a signal transmitter, a signal receiver, and a signal processor. Signal transmitter generates a UHF signal and radiates the UHF signal at a first of two acupuncture points of a living body. The signal receiver receives a UHF signal emitted from a second acupuncture point, detects and outputs the magnitude of the received UHF signal. The signal processor compares the detected magnitude of the received UHF signal with a magnitude of the UHF signal generated by the signal transmitter, calculates from the result of comparing and recording a conductivity of each of the acupuncture sections when the UHF signal passes through the corresponding acupuncture section, calculates at least one of a first variation, which indicates a degree of variation in conductivities of the acupuncture sections, and a second variation, which indicates a degree of variation in conductivities for a plurality of channels, using at least two recorded conductivities of the respective acupuncture sections, and outputs the result of calculation as data for diagnosing the condition of the living body.

Abstract: A method for producing an electrode of Ni/metal hydride alloy secondary cells. The electrode may be produced by mixing an active material with approximately 10-50 wt % of Cu powders, which can serve as a binder as well as a current collector, and cold-pressing the mixture at a pressure of 10 ton/cm. As the Cu-compacted electrode continues to experience the cycle of charge and discharge, the desolution-deposition of Cu is gradually produced. This desolution-deposition of Cu allows Cu to be deposited on the surface of the electrode comprising the hydrogen storage alloy, so that the electrode can be similar to a conventional Cu-electroless plated electrode in surface morphology. Consequently, the method of the invention can be an alternative for conventional electroless plating, which significantly improves the general functions of hydrogen storage alloy electrode, including low temperature dischargeability and high rate capability, without producing pollution of the environment.
