Abstract: A method can include displaying a user interface on a display of a mobile device. The user interface can include a scrollable payroll data section with multiple selectable fields and a data entry section configured to accept input of payroll data for the multiple fields. The method can further include simultaneously displaying the scrollable payroll data section and the data entry section and, in response to an input, simultaneously scrolling through one or more of the multiple selectable fields of the payroll data section while maintaining the payroll data section in place. A device and computer-readable medium can be configured to implement the method and variations thereof.

Abstract: A system and method for payroll processing. In one embodiment, the system includes a first database, a second database, and a processor operably connected to the first and second databases. The first database contains information about an employer, and the second database contains a PDF template. The processor is operable to create a filable PDF tax form from the PDF template, with the filable PDF tax form including data retrieved from and/or calculated from the first database. The method of the present invention involves the steps of retrieving with the processor a PDF template from the second database and at least one data from the first database, and then producing a filable PDF tax form from the retrieved PDF template and from the retrieved and/or calculate data from the first database. The present invention provides an employer with control over the generation, validation, correction, completion, and even filing of the employer's tax forms, and creates forms viewable and printable by a variety of systems.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for identifying and generating insights using machine learning and serverless computing systems. When events are detected, data from those events is collected and formatted into predefined formats. That formatted data is then used within an instance, where a machine learning algorithm is executed by a serverless computing system using the data within the instance as input. The result from the machine learning algorithm is an insight into the event and event data, which can be presented to users for interpretation.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for responding to a query using a neural network and natural language processing. If necessary, the system can request disambiguation, then parse the query using a trained machine-learning classifier, resulting in at least one of an identified subject or an identified domain of the text query. The system can determine if the user is authorized to retrieve answers to the query and, if so, retrieve factual data associated with the query. The system can then retrieve a response template, and fill in the template with the retrieved facts. The system can then determine, by executing a machine comprehension model on the filled response template, a probable readability token, portion of text, of at least a portion of the filled response template and, upon identifying that the probable readability is above a threshold, reply to the text query with the at least a portion of the filled response template.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a monetary equivalent from a payor to at least one payee. The monetary equivalent delivered in accordance with the present invention is a stored value card from an account funded, directly or indirectly, from an account of the payor. In some instances, a third party processor is involved to facilitate the transfer of funds to the stored value accounts of the payees. In one embodiment, the payor is an employer and the payees are employees of the payroll, with the invention serving as a vehicle for payroll distribution. A third party processor that may be involved in this embodiment comprises a payroll processor. In another embodiment of the present invention, the employer makes instant payment to certain identified employees. In yet another embodiment, the employer transfers value to one or more payees of the designated employees. The present invention serves all without regard to whether the payee already has any accounts in any financial institution.

Abstract: A security feature and method for verifying the authenticity of commercial paper. In one embodiment, pearlescent ink is added to a portion of commercial paper stock. A recipient can then tilt the commercial paper stock to view the pearlescent ink mark, design, or spot from different angles, causing the pearlescent ink to appear different colors and verifying the authenticity of the commercial paper. Further, according to another embodiment, thermochromic ink is applied to a portion of commercial paper stock. A recipient can then apply heat to the commercial paper stock in the area of the ink mark, thereby causing the thermochromic ink to disappear or change colors.
