Abstract:
There is disclosed an apparatus for marking a location of a golf ball on a golfing surface comprising: a main body portion having a front end attached to a rear end of a forked portion: the forked portion having a central section, a right arm at a right end of the central section and a left arm at a left end of the central section, the central section having a forward facing guide surface configured to restrain the ball from moving over a top of the central section; the right arm having a left facing guide surface configured to restrain the ball from moving over a top of the right arm; and the left arm having a right facing guide surface configured to restrain of the ball from moving over a top of the left arm.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for context-based communication in HTML pages in which embodiments include communications between readers of the HTML content and the creators of the HTML content. The present invention generally relates to the creation and publishing of multiple HTML web pages that may be combined to form a global context as an HTML application. More specifically, the method provides a means to allow readers and authors to create and share content with each other and other readers within the context of a single HTML page or within the context of a grouping of HTML pages in an environment that may have intermittent or unreliable network connectivity.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus for obtaining one or more metadata files, determining, by one or more computers and in accordance with a minor compaction setting, to perform a minor compaction of the one or more metadata files, creating one or more intermediate metadata files that each include at least compacted contacts of one or more of the metadata files, according to the determination to perform minor compaction of the one or more metadata files, determining, in accordance with a major compaction setting, to perform a major compaction of one or more of the intermediate metadata files, and creating one or more snapshot metadata files that each include at least compacted contents of one or more of the intermediate metadata files, according to the determination to perform the major compaction of one or more of the intermediate metadata files.
Abstract:
A device for monitoring the status of a railcar handbrake having a hand operated handle, which device has a magnet configured to he inserted in the linkage of a railcar handbrake system. A sensing component is mounted on the railcar to sense the proximity of the magnet when the handbrake is applied. A system and method using the monitoring device to provide communication of an alarm when the handbrake is applied and the railcar is moving.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods of modulating traits, particularly production traits, in avians such as chickens. In particular, the invention relates to the in ovo delivery of a dsRNA molecule, especially siRNAs, to modify production traits in commercially important birds.
Abstract:
A control system for a construction vehicle, such as a motor grader, is provided. The control system includes a plurality of joysticks supported by an operator seat assembly of the motor grader.
Abstract:
A vehicle includes a blade, a lifting mechanism configured to raise and lower the blade, and a pitching mechanism configured to pitch the blade forward and backward. A control system of the vehicle is configured to automatically maintain at least one of a depth of the blade during pitching of the blade and a pitch of the blade during lifting of the blade.
Abstract:
Keratin hydratable absorbents and films are fabricated with simple, repeatable processes. Freeze drying produces a material with instantaneous water absorption to over 20 times its weight in water. Films produced are flexible and uniform with water absorption 7-8 times the original weight.
Abstract:
A drive system for a work vehicle comprises a control unit adapted to: monitor output of a speed ratio setting input device for a speed ratio setting request signal and output of a drive-request input device for a FWD-only request signal, determine from the speed ratio setting request signal if a requested speed ratio setting represented thereby is one of at least one predetermined speed ratio setting among a plurality of speed ratio settings possible for the work vehicle upon receipt of the FWD-only request signal, and, if so, output at least one control signal engaging a FWD-only mode enabling FWD operation of the work vehicle but disabling RWD operation of the work vehicle. An associated method is disclosed.
