Abstract:
The present invention features a device having a strainer cover assembly having a strainer cover with tab openings, and a strainer housing having flexible tabs arranged thereon, the flexible tabs passing through the tab openings and fastening on the strainer cover with a snap action. The flexible tabs are deflected for removing the strainer cover. The strainer cover assembly includes a strainer with a screen for filtering a medium passing through the device. The snap action of the flexible tabs makes it easy to open, slide out and clean the screen on the strainer cover assembly. The strainer cover assembly and the screen may be formed as an integral unit, which helps in cleaning the screen. In operation, the user simply compresses the snap tabs and slides out the screen which is attached to the strainer cover assembly and rinses the contaminated screen while holding it by the strainer cover assembly. The integral unit being formed by plastic mold injection. The screen may be made of stainless steel material. The strainer cover assembly may be made of a clear plastic material.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for coupling a pump head (1) and a motor housing (4) of a pump together so that a rotational positioning ring (2) of the pump head (1) frictionally engages a snap ring (5) of the motor housing (4) so as to allow for 360° rotation of the pump head (1) in relation to the motor housing (4), where the orientation of the pump head (1) and the motor housing (4) are adjustable in relation to one another so as to allow an end user to set the orientation of the pump in any configuration. The positioning ring (2) has a plurality of members separated by slots for radially flexing when the rotational positioning ring (2) is axially coupled over the snap ring (5) of the motor housing (4). Each of the plurality of members has a rim so as to form a raised edge for frictionally engaging a corresponding raised edge of the snap ring (5) of the motor housing (4).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a new and unique portable, self-contained, fluid system. The portable, self-contained, fluid changing system may be used as a fluid changing device for changing a fluid such as oil or another suitable fluid in a container of a boat, recreational vehicle (RV), automobile or other suitable military, agricultural or industrial device. Alternatively, portable, self-contained, fluid system may also be used for providing fluid such as water or other suitable fluid for cleaning or showering. Moreover, the portable, self-contained, fluid system may also have a reversible electric pump that may be adapted or switched for pumping in either direction once the pump is affixed on the reservoir so the system may be sold and marketed for use in a fluid changing type of device or in a water providing or cleaning type of device consistent with that described above.
