Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to nucleic acid constructs comprising a nucleotide sequence comprising one or more pigment producing genes, wherein expression of the nucleotide sequence is under the control of a cotton fibre-specific promoter, and wherein the cotton fibre-specific promoter is capable of driving expression of the nucleotide sequence during two or more fibre development stages, and their use in the production of colour cotton fibre, or for the introduction of one or more pigment producing genes into a cotton plant. The present disclosure further contemplates cotton plants modified to produce cotton fibre, cotton seed, cotton lit, yarn, textiles and associated methods.

Abstract: The invention provides cereal plants having a high level of fructan useful for the production of a range of food, beverage, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products. The invention provides methods of producing high-fructan products from plants modified to comprise a reduced level of an endogenous polypeptide with starch synthase activity, and products so produced. In some embodiments, plants are modified by introduction of an agent such as a nucleic acid molecule which down regulates endogenous starch synthase II gene expression.

Abstract: Described are methods and devices for communication between local networks and global networks. In some examples, a method comprises storing mapping data for multiple hosts in a global network and in a local network. The method further comprises receiving a first data packet from one of the multiple hosts in the local network. The first data packet comprises a first source address being the local network address of the host in the local network, a first destination address being the local network address of the host in the global network and payload data. The method further comprises determining, based on the mapping data, the global network address of the host in the local network and a global network address of the host in the global network, and sending a second data packet over the global network.

Abstract: A process and apparatus of producing a product having a wrought structure. The process comprises the step of: applying heat and a compressive load simultaneously to an application area of a cold spray deposition preform to transform the comprising consolidated particle structure into a wrought structure, the compressive load being applied laterally to the application area. The application of compressive load and heat to the application area raises the temperature of the material of the preform in the application area to between the recrystallisation temperature and the melting point of the material.

Abstract: The present invention provides wheat grain comprising (1,3;1,4)-β-D-glucan (BG). The wheat grain is characterised by one or more of the following features; a BG content of at least 3% (w/w); the BG of the grain has a DP3/DP4 ratio between about 1.0 and about 2.0 or between about 1.0 and 2.3; and the BG is partially water soluble such that between 8.0% and about 25% or between about 10% and about 25% of the BG of the grain is water soluble.
