    Abstract: A wireless power receiver according to some embodiments includes an integrated circuit which includes: a full-bridge rectifier coupled to receive wireless power from a receiver coil; a wireless receiver controller coupled to control the full-bridge rectifier; a pass device coupled between the full-bridge rectifier and an output; and a configurable controller coupled to the switch, the configurable controller configurable as a LDO controller or a Buck controller. A second controller can be coupled to the configurable controller that interfaces to an external Buck low-side transistor if the configurable controller is the Buck controller and provides GPIO if the configurable controller is the LDO controller. A third controller can be coupled to the full-bridge rectifier, which operates as a full-bridge sync rectifier driver multiplexer to select an external driver for one or more of the rectifier transistors.     Abstract: In some embodiments, a spectrometer is presented. In accordance with some embodiments, the spectrometer includes an optical sensor array, the optical sensor array including a substrate and an array of pixels formed on the substrate; a spectral filter array formed over the pixels of the optical sensor array, the spectral filter array filtering incident light such that each pixel receives light of a spectral transmission profile associated with the pixel; a transparent spacer formed over the spectral filter array; and an opaque mask having input apertures allowing light through the transparent spacer and onto a portion of the spectral filter array. The spectrometer can be formed from the optical sensor array using a combination of photolithographic techniques and bonding of certain layers.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement and a method performing data exchange between various integrated circuits, IC, (3,4,5,6,7) in an automotive control system wherein the data are exchanged by a bus and has the object to enable ASIL C/D system coverage and to tie various ICs (clocks, regulators, memory interfaces, sensor signal conditioners, power management ICs etc.) This is solved the data are exchanged by a bus being ASIL C/D compliant and forming a common protocol to exchange information among the integrated circuits (3,4,5,6,7). The method is solved by functions implemented within the bus as setting the frequency of operation; arbitrating roles of the integrated circuits as master or slave device; checking integrity of exchanged data; frame repetition; detecting bus stuck-at failure modes; filtering or denouncing failures and warnings from peripheral devices; detecting remote out of specification local clock; and monitoring and predicting system reliability and profiling maintenance events.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes a plurality of registers and a host interface comprising a plurality of pins. One of the plurality of registers may be a power state entry register configured to control entry to a low power state. One of the plurality of pins may be an enable pin. The apparatus may be configured to enter the low power state in response to setting the power state entry register to a first value and providing the enable pin a signal with a first level. The apparatus may be configured to exit the low power state in response to providing the enable pin the signal with a second level. The apparatus may enter an idle state after exiting the low power state. The low power state may consume less power than the idle state. The enable pin is implemented as an input configured to control a status of a plurality of regulators.

    Abstract: An accurate position sensor is presented. The sensor operates over 360-degree motion angular motion and includes a coil structure formed on a substrate and a target mounted to be angularly moved over the coil structure, the target being formed of a conducting material in a shape of a spiral of Archimedes. The coil structure includes coils with an arc sufficient to operate over a 360 degree motion of the target, for example between 120 degrees and 360 degrees. Some embodiments include coils with a 180 degree arc. A method of operating the position sensor includes rotating a target formed of a conducting material in a shape of a spiral of Archimedes over a coil structure and providing a linearized and calibrated response indicating the angular position of the target relative to the coil structure.

    Abstract: In a wireless power transfer operation, the operating parameters are adjusted to improve efficiency by reducing the transmit and receive coil currents as follows. First, the transmitter causes the receiver to reduce the receive coil current to the lowest value based on the transmitter/receiver communication while still delivering the same amount of power to the load as before the AC current was adjusted to the minimum value. Then the transmitter may change the operating parameters to increase or preserve the power provided to the receiver without decreasing efficiency or with only small decrease in efficiency, or with increasing the efficiency. For example, the transmitter may increase the VBRG voltage (the DC voltage powering the transmit coil) or the operating frequency to maintain or increase output power levels at lower or the same AC and DC current levels. Other features are also provided.

The transmit-receive switch circuit may be connected between an input port, an output port, and a common port, and configured to switch a transmit radio-frequency signal from the input port to the common port in a transmit mode and a receive radio-frequency signal from the common port to the output port in a receive mode. The detector circuit may be integrated within the transmit-receive switch and may be configured to generate a power detection signal in response to at least one of the transmit radio-frequency signal or the receive radio-frequency signal.

    Abstract: A capacitor sensor array (or grid) over a wireless power transmission coil can include a first set of lines; a second set of lines intersecting the first set of lines; a first multiplexer coupled to provide a charge (e.g. in the form of a DC voltage) from a voltage source to the first set of lines and provide first signals to detect voltages on each line; and a second multiplexer coupled to provide a charge from the voltage source to the second set of lines and provide second signals to detect voltages on each line, wherein an object positioned with respect to the first set of lines and the second set of lines is located. According to some embodiments, a wireless power receive coil and a rectifier circuit can be used in forming a capacitor sensor, to sense the capacitance between the receive and transmit coils for better alignment between the two coils. Other embodiments are also provided.
